Chapter 10: LeClair Couple

...~ The Next Morning ~...

Naomi went to her company since she had an important meeting. She was in her cabin, when someone knocked her cabin's door. She told the person to come in, and her assistant entered.

"Yes, Kiara" Naomi looked up from her files and told her assistant to continue why was she here.

"Ma'am, I just got a call from Mr. Ryanns' Secretary. He said that the scheduled dinner meeting tomorrow has another guest coming" Kiara informed her while Naomi keenly listened.

"Did he say who is the guest that is coming for the meeting? "

"No Ma'am, they haven't told us anything about the other guest. If you want, I can call them and ask."

"No its alright. And please inform Kyle about the meeting"

"Yes Ma'am, is there anything else that I need to do?" Kiara asked her politely.

"No Kiara you can go" Naomi said with a smile and Kiara returned it back and left her cabin.

Just then when she was about to start her work, a call interrupted her. A smile formed on her face. It was Joshua's Mother and her Mom.

She picked up the ringing phone and cheerfully said, "Good Morning Mom, how are you?" But she could only hear sobbing of the woman on the other side of the phone which made her panic "Mom, what happened? Why are you crying? Did something ha-" her blabbers were cut off by her Mom.

"Nowadays you don't even call me. You have forgotten me, haven't you?" she sniffed in between and listening to her complaints Naomi sighed.

"Mom, it's not like that, I was just-" she was again cut off and decided to stay quiet and listen to her never-ending complaints.

"Yeah, I know you are busy that you don't get time to even call me and ask about me right."

"Momma, it's not like that. Trust me. I promise tonight I'll come and stay with you a whole day, day after tomorrow. I won't go to work and spend my whole day with you. Okay? Are you happy?" Naomi assured her with a smile playing on her lips.

"Really? You will do that! I'm so happy. I'm going to cook your favorite food, so come early Okay?" Joshua's Mom Illiana said with a hint of excitement in her sweet voice.

Naomi shook her head while thinking how her Mom is. She then convinced her that she would be there early as per her wish and ended the call with a bye and got back to her piled up work and meetings.

In the evening, Naomi drove her car towards Joshua's house. She entered inside the mansion and was welcomed by Joshua's Father, her Dad, Mr. Harvey LeClair and his mother Mrs. Illiana Harvey LeClair.

She was as always overwhelmed by there sweet and lovely gestures. Since LeClair and Miller families have been family friends and their kids too, have been great childhood friends.

She not only had her parents loving and pampering but the LeClair couple too loved her as own daughter.

When they heard the death of their friends, they were very sad and decided to adopt the 18 year old Namii who became an orphan.

After being thrown out of her house by her relatives, she was sent to the Orphanage by them. They didn't have any idea since they were out of country but when they returned 2 years later (she turned 21) they took her in.

Since then, she had been living with them, and completed her studies abroad with the help of the LeClair couple who supported her every decision. Later when she became the businesswoman and had wealth, she moved out as she didn't want to trouble them anymore.

Harvey hugged his daughter and caressed her head and said in a sad tone, "Daughter, you forgot your poor father didn't you?" hearing this Joshua rolled his eyes while Naomi chuckled.

"Sorry Dad, I was really busy, but I never forgot you" Naomi buttered him.

"Really, you did?" his eyes sparkled.

"Yes Dad." she laughed and said to him in assurance." Now will you forgive your only pretty and beautiful daughter" she used her last weapon; her cute doe puppy eyes, which works on everyone and everywhere.

Harvey laughed and hugged his daughter and said, "Okay, I forgive you. But you need to come here often to meet your dad okay? "

"Yes Dad I will listen to you" while the father daughter duo where busy in their talks, a person were glaring at them continuously. Illiana decided to break their talk with a cough, and she successfully gained their attention.

"It seems someone forgot me again" Illiana scoffed and mocked at Naomi.
