Chapter 5: Dangerous lady

...JULIAN'S POV...

I finished my work and left for the event. These events are sponsored by my family, as my mom is involved in such charity activities. She always believed in providing people with basic needs. She also told me that we always have more than our basic needs, but some people don't. Hence, it is our duty to provide them what they don't have.

Her teachings have consistently made me inspired, and thus I sponsored the event when they requested me to and also told me to join them. Of course, I couldn't deny, since my mother was present there at the meeting and glaring at me as if I'd say no....

Well now that I think about it, she's not wrong.

I reached the venue and got down with Asher and Alex.

Alex was really excited about this event. He is an extroverted kid and likes to play with his friends. He has few friends, who also belong from rich families. Because I hate poor people. They cheat and betray you and I have experienced it. That is why, I don't send him out to play with those poor people. I also worry that they might bully him.

He wanted to come here so badly, that he started crying so loudly for the whole day and I didn't want him to get sick, so I agreed to his request. He was excited to meet new friends and enjoy this event.

...Author's POV...

Just as they were about to enter, a car pulled over and a woman stepped out from the backseat of the car. She looked around in her 40s, with her hair in a bun and a black sunglass resting on her eyes. She wore white satin shirt with a black trouser and a black stilettos.

Her eyes wandered and landed on Alex. Her eyes held pure happiness for her only Grandchild. She called him out in her jolly voice, "Alex!" She sped up to them, bent down to meet Alex's level and immediately hugged him and blabbered, "Oh my sweet boy, how are you doing? Did you had your breakfast? "

Before Alex could answer, Asher whined to his mother saying,"Mom, how can you forget me? Your one and only younger son?"

Hearing this, Julian’s mother (Grace Walker) stood up and smiled and raised her hand to caress his head he thought, but soon a hand smacked his head.

Asher winced in pain,"Ouch!! Mom why did you do that?"

While both Julian and Alex tried to control their laughter seeing the duo bantering.

"You brat, act more mature like your brother not like a kid" Grace rolled her eyes thinking how weak his son was." Even Alex behaves more maturely than you" She nagged him until it was too much for him.

"Mom, don't you think we should head inside now?" Asher pointed his thumb finger towards the gate and tried to distract his mother - which was successful.

"Oh yeah, I totally forgot about it because of you, of course. C'mon let's head inside Lil Alex." Julian, Grace and Alex headed inside while Asher sighed in relief as he was saved from his Mom's nagging.

"Next time I'll make sure that I don't anger this dangerous lady!" Asher rubbed his head and muttered and silently followed them.

"I can hear you! If you want slap this time, continue blabbering" Grace threatened in cold and dangerous voice.

Asher had goosebumps all over his body and apologized his mom in panic "Sorry Mom...I'm coming " and left.
