Episode 19

* My night was perfect and Luna managed to make me the happiest man in just one night and I confess that I am ecstatic about what I am feeling for her. Although I can't get her out of my thoughts and the scent lingers in the room, I managed to sleep very well even though I wanted her here in bed with me.

* I woke up as usual very early because the company is an obligation for me. I go to the bathroom, do my personal hygiene, and then get dressed to leave the room. As I approach the bed, I see Luna's bracelet on the ground and smile because it is a sign that it was not a dream. My cell phone rings and it's Celia.

📲 *Heitor* - What's up, Celia, calling me so early?

📱 *Celia* - Last night I received an email from the Rio de Janeiro branch, it seems that you have some issues there.

📲 *Heitor* - Celia, don't make things up, it's been barely two months since I was at the Rio de Janeiro branch.

📱 *Celia* - I know, sir, but that's what they told me. I said I would inform you and as soon as I got to the company, I would reply to the email.

📲 *Heitor* - Alright, Celia, I'll be there in an hour and a half, thank you, goodbye.

* I hang up the call, not very pleased, and leave the room to return Luna's bracelet and then have breakfast. I have nothing to hide from anyone, so I shamelessly go to the kitchen and show everyone my happiness. As soon as I sit at the table, it doesn't take long for Luna to come to me and before she sits down, I pull her onto my lap.

*Heitor* - How did you sleep?

*Luna* - I slept well, and you?

*Heitor* - I slept well, but I wanted you in bed with me.

*Luna* - I asked you to take it slow, but I loved that you gave me the bracelet in the kitchen.

*Heitor* - We are adults, Luna, and we owe nothing to anyone.

*Luna* - I know, my aunt was awake when I returned to the room last night. She even came to the kitchen and cleaned up the mess we left.

*Heitor* - That explains her smug face, that Magnolia is worse than my mother.

* We smile and as I gently kiss her chin, she returns the gesture, even though I can sense her insecurity about us being here now. We are interrupted by my housekeeper clearing her throat as she approaches the table.

*Magnolia* - Wasn't last night enough for you two, or is this the appetizer for breakfast?

*Heitor* - It could be, but it's just a few kisses.

* Luna blushes and gets off my lap, sitting in the chair, as Magnolia and breakfast are being served by Adelaide and Verena, who has a terrible expression on her face.

*Luna* - Let me help you, Mrs. Adelaide?

* I get up from the table and start helping Adelaide serve breakfast. Heitor looks at me as if he doesn't approve, but I do it anyway because I am the maid, I suppose.

*Luna* - Is that smell... I can't believe you made cornbread, Mrs. Adelaide?

*Adelaide* - I did, girl, Magnolia told me you love it, as you eat a lot on your parents' farm, so I decided to make it.

*Luna* - Thank you, thank you, I love cornbread.

* I hug her and kiss her cheek, and she smiles because she has treated me very well since I arrived at this house yesterday, when Heitor speaks.

*Heitor* - Adelaide, please make pancakes for lunch.

*Adelaide* - As you wish, sir.

*Verena* - I hate pancakes, and they are such a hassle.

*Heitor* - But you're not the cook, and if you don't like it, eat something else. I and Luna like it.

*Magnolia* - Fry an egg and eat it since you don't like pancakes.

*Luna* - I love pancakes, I'll help you prepare them Adelaide, I love it when my mom makes them.

*Heitor* - Sit and eat, let Verena finish serving the table with Adelaide.

* I speak firmly as I look at Verena, who seems to be breathing fire. Seeing all of this happening, I now realize the reason for Jordana's resignation. Luna sits at the table and starts serving herself with cornbread. I admire her as she enjoys the cornbread, making her even more beautiful.

*Magnolia* - Looks like I'll have to hire another maid because this one won't last long.

*Luna* - Are you going to fire me, Aunt Mag?

*Heitor* - No, Sergeant, you will be promoted. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to work. I'll be back at lunchtime.

I get up from the table, give Luna a peck on the cheek, and leave...
