Left alone in the kitchen, feeling like a fish out of water. My heart was pounding as I stared at the array of ingredients on the counter.

I couldn't help but feel completely lost. Cooking had never been my strong suit, but tonight was different. I had been tasked with making dinner.

With a steady hand, I poured some oil into the pan and watched as it sizzled and danced. It was like magic, the way the oil transformed under the heat. The next thing I planned to do was chopping the vegetables, which was quiet easy, or maybe not-

Just as I was feeling high, I looked down at my bloody fingertips. What a mess!

My injured hand couldn't bear to get doing with the cooking and frying the vegetables was even more challenging, which also made me stain my hand. Already knowing about his disappointment, I kept silent, and nodded. He sure was going to get the newest taste of food in his lifetime!

He didn't respond anything and reached for the plate and noticed my hand. He then took my hand and examined the wound I got from the the knife.
