Davis, deeply disappointed by the unexpected turn of becoming a journalist despite all his training, let out a heavy sigh.
With a sense of resignation, he printed out the contract details that had been sent to him.
Davis
What am I even doing?
He was then called in for a meeting to explain his duties, what he was expected to do, and what he must avoid.
The meeting was lengthy, filled with detailed instructions. He noticed a few others who had been assigned the same job, sharing his sense of apprehension.
On the way back to his locker, he saw Haider.
Davis
Good evening and goodbye senior.
Haider
You look disappointed.
Haider asked cause he was concerned about Davis.
Davis
How can I not be disappointed? I don't want to talk about this anymore
Davis muttered, frustration evident in his voice.
Davis
I have to report to the news channel tomorrow early in the morning.
Haider
Why are you so sulky? You’ll get to see all those celebrities. And If you do well in this mission, you’ll be sent on other important assignments.
Haider reassured him
Davis
Whatever. I'm leaving! Goodbye!
Davis snapped, turning on his heel and storming out of the room.
