Chapter 18
Several days passed with Han Li continuesly coming by everyday. He made sure to bring Xie Yan delicious foods, whom the latter always enjoyed. Spicy chicken to sweet potatoes, everything he desired was brought to him by the demon lord.
Xie Yan
Can you bring me sweets tomorrow? I'm craving something really sweet lately!
Han Li
Of course, anything for my love. *kisses Xie Yan's forehead*
Xie Yan
Don't call me that! *rubs his forehead*
The more the two met each other, the easier it was for Xie Yan to forget Han Li's position. He was a sweet man towards him, and the more he met him the more his heart fluttered with each embracing moment they shared. Han Li giving him pet names was such an occasion, at first he hated it. But the more he heard it, the more his heart appreciated it.
It could be the hormones of his pregnancy, heightening his emotions, but Xie Yan didn't mind being with Han Li anymore. He completely forgot his plans to escape or anything related to revenge.
He felt great, even.
Han Li
I'll meet you tomorrow, I'm busy at the moment. I can't watch you today.
Xie Yan
*nods* (Why do I feel sad...?)
Han Li
Can I kiss you today?
Xie Yan
W-what? *hides his face*
Han Li
*holds Xie Yan's hands*
Han Li
Don't hide *smiles* (He's so cute)
Han Li
*approaches Xie Yan* Can I kiss you?
It was a soft and beautiful kiss, nothing crazy. But both their hearts felt like exploding.
Han Li hurried and went out, blushing himself. That was a first for Xie Yan, to see him blush like that.
Xie Yan
(He...really loves me, huh?) *becomes sad*
Xie Yan
I just wish we would have found eachother differently... *tears up*
Xie Yan took a deep breathe and wiped his tears away. He took a few moments before he enjoyed the food today.
Xie Yan had reached a point in his pregnancy where his craving became pretty strong. Even his stomach started to bulge, it terrified him but seeing Han Li's loving eyes on his belly comforted him.
He never expected to be comforted by the man that did this to him, or rather the original Xie Yan, in the first place, but it was a reality he had accepted. Maybe the situation can only be handled after accepting this truth. He doesn't have any expectations for the future, but at this moment in time, he felt fine.
