In my room.

What Edgar just told me leaves me with a confusion of negative thoughts, I mean, I don't judge any kind of love, whatever it is, but that's not even the case, Edgar was sleeping with his cousin and only stopped because of me, which makes me wonder if he was after me that night I saw him in the hallway.

Afraid of being in danger in this house, I pack my things in a suitcase and try to leave, I mean, I thought about trying, giving up as soon as I walked through my bedroom door.

Edgar, in his room, thinks of a way to show me that he's serious and that he only wants to know about me now.

Yan: Did something happen? Leandro looked shaken when he passed me. Did you hit him?

Edgar gets out of bed and slams the door in Yan's face.

Yan goes to my room.

Yan: Is everything okay?

Leandro: You knew... you knew and didn't tell me.

Yan: What didn't I tell you?

Irritated I get up and slam the door in Yan's face.

I sit on the floor and rest my head against the door, there are no tears and no pain, I mean, I believe him when he told me he's no longer having an affair with his cousin Murilo, as I said before; my fear is that this cousin resents me.

My cell phone rings.

I pick up the phone and see it's Luca, I'm not in the mood for it so I decline the call, but you know what? I needed to get out for a bit, but I'm afraid of what Edgar will think.

Not wanting to know anything, I got up and walked out of that snooty mansion. I take a cigarette and light it. I'm very nervous and quite suspicious, I mean, how would Murilo get into such a well-guarded mansion? And why didn't Edgar think of that? Would he have a key or did Yan help him?

Upon entering, I stop at Edgar's bedroom door, I put my hand on the door, thinking whether to knock or not. What I didn't know was that he had seen the shadow of my foot, he approached the door and also put his hand on it, he thought about opening it, but didn't want to argue with me if that was why I was behind.

The front door opens and a loud voice fills our ears. When I realized it, it was the inverter again and I was right, he came for me, with no time to hide in my husband's room, I run to my room, but I can't close the door, so he he enters and assaults me with a tool he was carrying in his hands. I lost consciousness, but before that I could see several men entering my room and one of them was Edgar.

Some time later I was waking up on the sofa at home, with a doctor on one side and another on the other.

My head hurts.

Edgar seems to have a glass of water to give me, he arrives pale, I can see the worry in his eyes.

Edgar: Here, please, take it!

Medicated (right side): Thank God, the beating your husband took doesn't do any serious damage.

Hit? I wasn't hit, I was attacked. Why did Edgar lie?

Medicated (left side): Now rest, because everything will be fine.

Edgar walks the two doctors to the door and returns shortly.

Leandro: Hey… Why did you lie?

Edgar sat down next to me and took care of me so I wouldn't make any sudden movements.

Edgar: I lied because I'm going to take care of Murilo.

Leandro: What are you talking about?
