After Alana was introduced to Dwight's family, they didn't meet or ask each other's news for a whole week. They met again when Alana brought Sky, along with Mr. Dwight and Mrs. Sandra, to her house to discuss their wedding preparations.
"Al, are you sure about marrying Sky?" Aluna pointed with her chin to the handsome man with sharp lines on his face. He was trying on the outfit he would wear on their wedding day with Alana. Yes, at the moment, Aluna was accompanying her twin sister to fit the wedding gown. "Didn't Sky harass Alena before, and if I'm not mistaken, he used to like her too, right?" Aluna asked curiously.
Actually, the whole extended family was very happy when Alana announced that she was getting married soon. But when they found out who her prospective groom was, they were a little surprised. Because it was already common knowledge that Sky had approached Venus, Baby, and even Alena, although it all ended in failure.
"I'm not sure," Alana answered, but only in her heart. "Sure or not, you shouldn't worry about it. Aren't all of you wanting me to get married quickly?" she said sarcastically.
"Yes, but Al, aren't you afraid that Sky might still love Venus, Baby, or even Alena? I don't want you to end up like Alena, marrying a man who still loves another woman."
Alana sighed. "I don't care if he still loves them or not. Even if you want to get close to him, I don't care." Alana said this for a reason. Since Sky came to their mansion to meet Mom Daisy and Dad Antoni, Aluna seemed interested in Sky, even since Aluna first met Sky at Abian and Alena's wedding.
"You're crazy, how could I get close to my future brother-in-law?" Aluna retorted angrily.
Alana herself didn't care about Aluna's annoyance, because honestly she still felt hurt by her younger sister who had caused Abian and Alena to sleep together. It wasn't because Alana was still mourning her failed love story with Abian, but she didn't like the way Aluna had gone about making Alena and Abian unite. It seemed like her younger sister didn't care about her feelings.
"Please Miss, join us," the boutique attendant's words snapped Alana out of her thoughts.
She immediately walked into the fitting room to try on her dress, ignoring Sky who had been busy and hadn't looked at her at all.
"Wow... my future daughter-in-law is so beautiful."
Sandra looked at Alana with admiration, as did Mom Daisy and Aluna. Meanwhile, Sky stared at Alana with an unreadable look.
"Why are you having such a luxurious wedding party?" Alana whispered, holding back her annoyance. Yes, since a week ago, Alana wanted to protest because Dwight's family was preparing their wedding in such a lavish manner, even though their wedding would be in just ninety-nine days.
"I come from a prestigious family, just like your family, it would become a public topic if we got married simply." Sky replied in a whisper.
Alana remained silent, not wanting to argue because Sky's explanation was somewhat true. But after thinking about it again, wouldn't they still become a public topic when they got divorced later? Because they would only be married for ninety-nine days.
"But Sky—"
"What are you two whispering about? Why are you whispering?" Daisy and Sandra asked.
"Nothing, Mom, we're just negotiating on how many children to have," Sky replied casually, without looking at Alana's surprised expression.
"Oh... if that's the case, you don't need to negotiate, you should and must have many children," Sandra said with a happy smile. "If necessary, Alana should get pregnant and give birth every year." Because Sandra wants her mansion to be lively, unlike now, which is quiet because she only has one child.
"Mom, is Alana a cat that gives birth every year?" Sky replied.
Everyone in the room laughed, but not Alana, who was desperately trying to hold back her tears with their conversation about children.
