Chapter 1

"You're telling me, you somehow ran away from your Uncle, the Royal Successor Brother of the throne— the wangseje— the killer of your father— THE KING— because he wants to kill you, too?" The captain of the ship where I've taken refuge from said.

(A few hours before)

The laughter of his shipmate's boom across the deck as I looked at their faces. I'm beginning to regret the fact that I took shelter here because I had stupidly decided to steal some of the strawberries in the crates that they're transferring. The thing was that I was absolutely famished and was literally starving.

I was famished, I haven't eaten for a day and followed the man carrying the food inconspicuously and let my stomach dictate my next course of action. Then the ship moved and I was trapped inside.

 It didn't take them long to find me. It was only a few hours after the ship set sail that a crew found me eating the strawberries inside their galley. "Oi! what do u think you're doing you thieving street rat!" He was now shouting at me with all his might. Tears threatened to spill as my eyes began to water I didn't cry though, I should be strong I am the Princess of Alexandria.

The Man forcefully grabbed my arm roughly pulling me towards the deck where my doom awaited me, he smirked at me with his yellow teeth making me shudder. I was pushed in front of a rather young man who was peering at the sea through a spyglass.

"I found this rat thieving below the deck sire" the man wheezed.

The suited man sighed and looked at me with a condensing glare and spoke in a cold voice which made the temperature drop several degrees " Am I supposed to care, you know the procedure you worthless scum throw her offboard".

Hearing that something in me snapped, I jerked my arm free and kicked my captor snatching his blade." I am the heir to the throne of Alexandria who are you to even dare to touch me" I growled to the man on the floor.

The man with the spyglass smirked at me "My my Princess aren't we fiesty If you are who you  claim to be where is your let us say entourage"

"The King has passed away and his Brother has taken away the throne I am the true heir my right has been taken from me, assist me and you shall be rewarded with whatever you want"

The man looked at me with an impassive face "Whatever we want princess?"

I nodded at him, his face mocking me. "How can that happen? There are hundreds if not thousands of soldiers manning the main throne hall." The captain smirked at me, "Your uncle is nearly invisible and not to say extremely conscious about his protection further I have no grievances against him so why should I bother however your father my dear has a rather large debt to pay me ."

"I'm extremely sorry but right now you are on my ship and I make the rules, Emerald take this charming lady below deck and put her in the cell we'll see when she shall be of use to us"
