I didn't allow Nestor or Master Tirion to talk to Lizandra about Leonora or anything regarding the matter. I didn't want my pregnant mate to become more agitated than she already was. After a week, we went to the clinic to consult the doctor and confirm the pregnancy.

We went by car, with the tinted windows up. She hasn't been introduced yet, but the people know her and have always rejected and humiliated her. They were curious and talking about us a lot. I wanted to protect her as much as possible before tomorrow, when Luna will be officially presented.

"Are you feeling alright, my love?" I touched her face with the back of my fingers, giving her a gentle caress.

She nodded, smiling weakly. The morning sickness was getting stronger, draining her energy. The food wouldn't stay in her stomach and her belly was already bloating, after just one week. I didn't even ask her to show me her wings, so as not to tire her out further, which is why I still didn't know what they looked like.

I parked the car in front of the clinic and helped her out. We went straight to the doctor's office. Dr. Kaio was already waiting. I knocked on the door and we entered.

"Good morning, doctor. How are you?"

"Good morning, alpha Derick." We shook hands and I introduced Lizandra.

"This is Lizandra, my mate and Luna." He went over to her, gave her an apron, and pointed to the bathroom for her to change.

He asked a few things about Lizandra's health, which I didn't know how to answer, and also about mating, questions that I didn't want to answer.

Soon, Lizandra was lying on an examination table, wearing an apron open in the front and a sheet covering her legs up to her hips, protecting her modesty. The doctor lifted the apron and lowered the sheet a little.

He turned the monitor for us to see and asked:

"Puppies?" we asked together.

"There are three, doctor?" I asked, remembering what Thomas had told me.

"No, there are three, that's why she's feeling so unwell. When she reaches three weeks, we'll be able to determine the gender. Lupine females have a gestation period of four to five months. Since it's a twin gestation, they might be born premature." he handed her some tissues to wipe off the gel from her belly. "I recommend she doesn't lift heavy weights or perform tasks that require a lot of effort."

"Can she use magic? Transform or fly?" I asked, worried.
