Episode 13

Antonella takes off her hat and looks at herself in the mirror. She grabs an ointment and applies it to her bruised areas, letting out a slight groan of pain.

Afterwards, she changes into different clothes and lies down on her bed. She doesn't have the energy to even look at her phone, so she simply stares at the ceiling and lets out a sigh.

She still wonders what that man was doing in her house, and what his relationship is with her father.

Antonella, lost in thought, falls into a deep sleep and has a dream about her mother.

In her dream, she sees herself with her mother in a beautiful garden. However, her mother is standing by a lush tree, holding a little girl in her arms. Antonella tries to approach them, but neither of them sees her. It's as if she has traveled back in time, witnessing how happy she used to be with her mother.

Then, the woman turns her head and looks at Antonella, who is still standing by the tree. She picks up the little girl, holds her hand, and they stand in front of a shining door that leads nowhere. Both the woman and the little girl wave goodbye to Antonella, and then they enter through the door.

Antonella steps away from the tree and screams, "Mom, Mom, don't go! Come back!" But the woman and the little girl leave without looking back.

The woman was her mother, and the little girl was Antonella herself in her childhood, playing with her mother in the garden. But those memories fade away.

Antonella wakes up, screaming her mother's name. Then she takes a deep breath and calms down. It's not the first time she has dreamed of her mother; she feels immense sadness because she misses her. Her mother was the only one who understood her and gave her genuine love.

In that moment, Antonella longs to go back to the past and stay there forever. The present is painful, and the future is uncertain, but the past was happy. Sometimes, remembering when we were happy hurts, because we know it will never return.

"Mom, when will you make her leave? I can't stand her presence anymore," Antonella complains.

"Don't worry, daughter, everything's already taken care of. I handled it myself," her mother replies.

"Tell me, what did you do?" Antonella asks curiously.

"I told Federico to marry her off to someone," her mother reveals.

"Really? Who? This is exciting," Antonella responds.

"Well\, I didn't quite like who he chose for her\, but I don't care… She will be engaged to ***** *********\," her mother says.

"What!? Mom, why him?" Antonella exclaims.

"It will benefit our company tremendously, Zoraya. Besides, it was Federico who made the offer," her mother explains.

"But, Mom, she will have more prestige than me if she marries him. He's practically a magnate, why didn't you choose someone else?" Antonella questions.

"I had the best interests of the company in mind, you know how powerful it is now," her mother says.

"But, Mom, why didn't you offer me? I'm worthy of him, not Antonella," Zoraya pleads.

"You are with Harry now, Zoraya," her mother reminds her.

"I'm with him because he's rich\, but ****** is even richer; he's swimming in money\," Zoraya replies.

"Don't worry about it, Zoraya. I'm sure Antonella won't have an easy time with her future husband," her mother assures.

"Why do you say that?" Zoraya asks.

"They say he's a womanizer and doesn't take anyone seriously. Moreover, they say he is cold and heartless. He may be very handsome, but his personality is arrogant. I didn't want that kind of future for you. When he gets tired of Antonella, he will cast her aside like a dog, you'll see," her mother explains.
