Are you sure Jungkook's okay?
Mrs. Ahn
It's been a while since he left.
Taehyung
he's fine, he said he'd be down in a minute.
He smiles softly at the elderly woman before he sits next to Ara, and a seat away from Sumi. For a second his eyes glance to her before he glances back to Mrs. Ahn. How did they manage to raise such a demon?
Sumi
Why do we have to wait on him? Just tell us the announcement.
He swallows the urge to roll his eyes and lays back further into the couch. Seems like this would take a bit longer that expected.
Mr. Ahn
Sumi, calm down. This announcement has as much to do with Jungkook as it does with you, so we'll wait.
Sumi lets out a childish groan and Mr. Ahn shakes his head,seemingly disappointed with her.
Everyone's eyes averts to the stairs, where they see Jungkook making his way down, and he'd been in different clothes. He must've taken a shower. Taehyung thinks, and he smiles knowingly.
Jungkook
I'm sorry for the way I dismissed myself. It was rude and I have no excuses.
Jungkook bows before Mr. and Mrs. Ahn, and they shake their head.
Mrs. Ahn
it's fine jungkook, stand up.
Mr. Ahn
you don't need to apologize for that.
Ara
and besides Sumi overreacted a bit.
They all defended which for some reason offends Sumi.
She shrieked, overreacting just like before. Jungkook thinks it's funny how everyday he hates her just a bit more than before.
Sumi
Are you guys serious right now?!
Mrs. Ahn
let's get to that announcement, shall we?
Jungkook looks around for a place to sit, but the only available space was between Sumi and Taehyung. Why? Just why? He sighs deeply before he takes a seat in between them, ignoring Taehyung's piercing gaze.
Mrs. Ahn
so, for Ara's birthday, we thought it would be fun if you went somewhere special.
Mr. Ahn
so, we bought four tickets for a cruise trip, tomorrow, and it's headed to Paris.
Jungkook's eyes widen, a cruise ship? part of him is excited because he would be getting a vacation, one he thinks he deserves in a beautiful place like paris, that was amazing...but the other part of him that is scared of ships is not very estatic.
Mr. Ahn
We just really want you guys to have fun, and make sure Ara feels special and appreciated.
Mr. Ahn continued with a proud smile.
Sumi
omg, that'll be so fun.
Sumi bounces on the couch, clearly happy and Jungkook just rolls his eyes. Is there no way for her to just not go? He doubts it, but a guy can hope.
Ara
Mom, dad, this is...this is amazing, thank you
Ara stands and throws herself at her parents, hugging them tightly. Jungkook smiles, thinking about how cute this whole interaction was but his smile fades when he notices Taehyung's eyes on him. Jungkook makes the mistake of turning to the other, and their eyes meet. As soon as it does, Jungkook looks away, closing his eyes shut in embarrassment. He's still in shock that, this man just gave him a boner. How are they supposed to be in the same room together without it being awkward? Much less be on a cruise ship for who knows how many days?
Jungkook groans silently, thinking.
Mrs. Ahn
You guys should probably head off to bed, I mean you have a lot to do tomorrow to prepare for the ship in a few days.
They nod and after a couple exchanges they find themselves in their rooms.
Jungkook walks into Sumi's room after her and he heads to the couch and plops himself down, letting out a deep breath.
even with his eyes closed, he can feel Sumi boring daggers into his head.
Sumi
Why are you on the couch?
Jungkook takes a second before he responds.
Jungkook
Because this is where I'm sleeping.
Sumi rolls her eyes as she picks out a sheet for the bed.
Sumi
but the bed is big enough...
she tries but Jungkook just wanted to sleep, most preferably not beside her.
Jungkook
it doesn't matter. we're not talking right now.
A scoff leaves Sumi and she stops sorting the sheets. What did he mean by that? Surely he wasn't upset. If anything, she should be upset.
She questions, staring at Jungkook relaxed face, and she hates how gorgeous he is.
Jungkook
you embarrassed me in front of your parents, and you didn't even care. I've had enough of your nonsense, so I'm sleeping on the couch.
Jungkook expounds and it doesnt quite please sumi. She rolls her eyes and makes her way back to the bed with the sheets she wanted before she got to making it.
Sumi
whatever, I don't care.
He trails off for a bit thinking of a respectful word to not offend her sister but before he could finish, he hears her say.
Ara asks, giggling as Taehyung looked down at her with a smile.
Taehyung
I was gonna say exhausting but childish works.
She warns as she finished making the bed and she makes her way over to Taehyung on the couch, sitting right beside him.
Ara
She is much but she's got good intentions. I just wish she'd treat Jungkook better, you know. It's obvious that she really likes him.
Taehyung
hmm, Is it though?
Ara pushes him playfully as he laughs but she can't even blame him for thinking that.
Ara
She just has weird ways of showing it but if she doesn't stop, she might end up losing him.
Taehyung
Maybe she never even really had him.
Taehyung says making Ara narrow her brows at his odd statement.
Taehyung
Nothing. I'm just tired.
Ara
Yeah, just let me change first.
She says and she makes her way over to her drawer, pulling out a pair of pajamas before she heads to the bathroom leaving Taehyung alone.
As he lays down on the bed, his mind couldn't help but go back to Jungkook. At first, he was just messing with the other but then when he went up to the balcony, that's when he knew something changed.
