Soon, I saw the edge of the pack's territory and ran faster. I didn’t have much of a lead, as I was still human, and they were werewolves who could catch me in an instant. But before they could reach me, I crossed the line and smiled because I was finally free and could no longer be harmed.

Without a doubt, I was exhausted and had no strength left, so I let myself fall against a tree where I leaned back, and before I knew it, I had fallen deeply asleep, as the fatigue had taken over.
