Chapter 4

I pointed to the small restaurant outside the window. "I want to eat here. The food there is very delicious."

Cheney's eyes fell sharply on my face.

I smiled. "I haven't eaten a bite for a day and a night. I'm really hungry."

Cheney's POV

She doesn't eat all day and all night? Is this woman a fool? I couldn't help frowning. "Get out of the car and eat."

She looked happy, but when she looked back, she immediately crossed her face. 

Seeing her surprise, I smiled and said in her ear, "I know what you are playing. Tonight, you can't escape."

"I didn't have any ideas, and I didn't plan to escape." She said, turned, and walked to the small restaurant.

Into a small restaurant, the proprietress warmly greeted her "Hey, girl, you haven't come for a long time."

Krista smiled and said, "Yes, Aunt, I have been very busy recently. I really miss your Sandwiches."

"All right, all right, what kind of stuffing do you want to eat?"

Krista looked at me. "What kind of stuffing do you want?"

"I won't eat."

Krista didn't force herself. She turned back to the proprietress and said, "I want cabbage meat and celery meat."

"Great choice!" The wife of the shop owner went back to the kitchen, Krista took out a pair of chopsticks from the chopsticks tube, broke them, and rubbed them a few times.

I hooked my lips. "It seems that you do come here often."

"Otherwise, you think I lied to you."

She smiled and lost her previous hypocrisy. "My dad especially loves Sandwiches, but my mother doesn't like boiled pasta. In order not to bother my mother, when my dad wants to eat Sandwiches, he will come here. Over time, the Sandwiches here have become my favorite food."

Recognizing that her tone was angry, I calmly said, "People are like this. No matter how many good things they have done, they are not easy to remember, but as long as they have done a little wrong, they will be poked by the world for a lifetime."

Her face, with a touch of anger, stopped talking.

Krista's POV

Aunt came out with two plates of Sandwiches. "Girl, I put more for you on each plate. Eat more."

"Thank you, Aunt."

After eating, I touched my belly and said with satisfaction, "It's a pity that you can't eat such delicious food."

After I said those words, I stood up to pay.

Cheney's POV

I stared at her back and couldn't help laughing. For the first time, I met a woman who didn't care about her image in front of me.

On the way to the hotel, Krista didn't speak much. On the 66th floor with her, I closed the door and pressed her against it. When I was about to kiss her, she covered my mouth.

I was unhappy and said, "Why, when we got here, you still want to refuse me?"

She smiled charmingly, let go of her hand, wrapped it around my neck, and opened her mouth to my face. "Cheney, I just ate garlic, and my mouth tastes very bad. Are you sure you want me to cooperate with you now?"

It turns out that she just ate garlic on purpose in a dumpling restaurant for this.

I raised my eyebrows and said, "Wash them."

"Okay, but I have to make a phone call first. Why don't you wash first?"

I'm afraid she can't brush any tricks, so I turned and went into the bathroom.

Krista's POV

Staring at the bathroom door, I smiled cunningly. Until I heard the sound of rushing water in the bathroom, I went to the door conveniently, opened the door, and left quickly.

Lockie gave me a set of his keys to the Oasis Apartments before going abroad. Before, I didn't like it because there were too many Legos in it. But tonight is different. I have no place to live, so I have to go there for a few days.

After taking a shower, I wiped my hair and went to the balcony to feel the wind. Just then, the doorbell rang at the door. I wonder in my heart, how can anyone come here?

I went to the door and looked out of the cat's eye. No one was there. Just as I was wondering, the doorbell rang again. I turned on the monitor. "Who's there?"

"Open the door."

When Cheney's voice came, I instinctively took a step back. This man... How did he find this place?

"Don't make me say it again." Cheney's tone was full of displeasure.

At present, my plan has not succeeded, so I can't afford to offend this man at the door. I didn't hesitate to open the door directly.

Before I could react, someone came in, hugged me tightly, kicked the door, pushed me against the wall, and kissed me on the lips in a punitive way.

No, it's not a kiss, it's... a bite. I was in pain, slightly pushing him against me. 

"Don't you dare call me brother-in-law again." He said with a slight narrowing of his eyes and warning me. "I will become your real brother-in-law and let you be my mistress all my life."

I was silently looking at him. He naturally pinched my chin. "Krista, you have a lot of courage to play with me."

I thought he might be angry, but I really didn't expect that he would come and talk to me face to face.

"Did I tell you that you can't escape tonight? Dare to trick me with a few cloves of garlic. What now, don't you need me to marry you?"

I looked at him. "I've taken the Dragon Bridge project as we agreed, you..."

"Did I say that I didn't even see the Dragon Bridge project? Krista, even if you won't tell me, I know that you are eager to marry me for a purpose. I can let you use my wife's status to do what you want without asking your purpose. Anyway, for me, a loveless marriage is the same for everyone. But if you continue to play games with me in front of me, then... you have to weigh it, Cheney, I am not so easy to pass. You started the game, but the control has already fallen into my hands, understand?"

I looked at him and for the first time, regretted provoking him.

"Speak." He squeezed my chin and spoke like a command.

I turned my face slightly sideways, then greeted his eyes and said firmly, "I don't want to share a room with you tonight."

"You don't want to?"

"No, I don't," I shook my fist. "I'm hurt and I can't do it with you."

"Oh." He gave a sneer.

"I didn't lie to you, I was really injured."

"I don't believe that in order to refuse me, you really used a knife on yourself."

"It's not because of a knife! It is a wound, it's from you."

He stared at me and kept silent.

"Last night, you and I... did that too much, and I was in pain. There has been blood there today."

Cheney's POV

Hearing her words, the anger in my heart disappeared.

"Come back with me to the Fischer's mansion."

"Why?"

"Maybe, you don't need the consent of my parents to marry me?" I raised my eyebrows. "You think my Fischer family has a bad reputation and no rules?"

I took her back to the car and put her in the co-driver's side of the car. I drove her back myself.

On the way, I said, "My grandfather's personality is stubborn, but my grandmother is more casual, so don't be presumptuous in front of my grandfather."

She pouted, "okay."

I added, "Also, make a list of what you want when you get married, and I'll have someone prepare it for you."

She looked at me. "I don't want anything."

This woman is so rare. Other women try their best to get involved with me just to get something, but she is different. She doesn't want anything.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure." She said firmly and continued talking. "I don't need anything. Besides, before we get the license, I will sign a pre-marital property justice with you. Our marriage can be set by you. Once the time limit expires, if you want to divorce, I will never pester you, and I will not take away a penny from you."
