But a year later, my father was standing there, facing away from the collapsed bridge and saying to me, "Krista, you believe in Dad. Dad has been doing things openly and honestly in my life. I really have never been corrupt. I was wronged."

I opened my bag and dug out an original bridge design draft from several years ago. The data on this drawing is completely different from the drawing data issued by the Brennan Group when the accident happened six years ago.

Cheney's POV

"Tonight, Mr. Kingston of the Irwin Group, the bidder for the Dragon Bridge project, is hosting a charity dinner. We can't miss this opportunity."

I raised my eyebrows. "You can't miss it. Whether the Dragon Bridge project is answered or not does not affect the Fischer group."

Krista's POV

This... I'm noncommittal. With the wealth and power of the Fischer group in City A, indeed, I cannot pay attention to the Dragon Bridge project, and even with the stand in Cheney's position, I should wish the Dragon Bridge project would fail so that his family's bitter rivals can be lost without a single soldier.

I gave him a big smile, "Then, please bother my future brother-in-law to accompany me."
