Blake Shelton met Megan Cox in an unusual way. She was actually the wife of one of his clients who one fine day brought her along to a business meeting.

Five minutes after I got into the car, I already bitterly regretted that dinner, but a man of his word and impeccable conduct like me had to honor his commitments, no matter how undesirable they were. When John reached the main avenue that led to the hotel where Megan was staying, everything came to a standstill. Megan kept harassing me on the phone to know if I was on my way, and I could no longer bear that situation around me, so I decided to get out of the car and walk the remaining three blocks.
Calculating, I just had to walk to the corner and turn to reach the hotel. I started walking slowly, feeling the gentle autumn breeze on my face. Helena had tidied up the entire house and decided to go out for a run around the area. The impact was so strong that the person staggered backward, but she wasn't as lucky and fell on her butt on the ground at the feet of the person she collided with.
Embarrassed, Helena looked up to apologize to the person she had crashed into, and when she looked up, it seemed like everything had frozen in that very instant.
Ali still sitting on the ground, Helena looked up at a wall that was almost 1'80 tall, wearing a suit that sculpted each well-toned muscle hidden beneath the white shirt that covered him. As she looked up, she saw his well-defined arms underneath the sleeves of the shirt, but the best part was when she reached his sculpted face, which seemed to have been carved by the world's best artist. His features were perfectly aligned, with a square jaw covered by a light layer of stubble and a pair of big gray eyes accompanied by tousled hair to add charm to his appearance...as if he needed it.
As their gazes met, she blushed immediately.
"Oh...oh my God...please forgive me..."
Blake Shelton was still standing, his gaze fixed on the clumsy girl. Something about her instantly reminded him of his beloved Julliane. He extended his hand for her to get up. The skin-to-skin contact emitted an electric current that both of them felt in their bodies.
"Watch where you're walking, girl..."
He said nothing more and continued walking. Helena turned around and watched as that angel showcased his steps in a hot and sensual manner with each stride until he finally disappeared from her sight. It took her a few seconds to recover from it all before she finally raised her head and continued running again. Just as she was about to reach the front of the hotel, Blake took a brief look back, but the clumsy girl he had collided with had completely disappeared.
Standing in front of the hotel door, he couldn't help but observe as Megan Cox emerged from the lobby in a beautiful silver dress adorned with gemstones, a light shawl draped over her shoulders, and her clutch bag in hand. She glided in her black pumps...truly, any man who saw her there would say she looked simply spectacular, but to him, she was just the same old Megan.
As she approached him, she kissed him on the cheek.
"Hello, darling."
"Hi Megan."
"Did you walk here?"
"No...Jonh is around the corner...shall we go?"
"Of course."
In the eyes of others, they seemed like the perfect couple, but only they knew the real reality.
Megan got into the car, followed by Blake, and during the journey to his house, nothing was said between them. She touched up her makeup, and for a fraction of a second, he closed his eyes and remembered the strange girl.
"What are you thinking, darling?"
"Ah...nothing...we're here..."
Megan got out of the car with Blake, and together they entered his house.
