Episode 4

A rather uncomfortable silence falls over the room after hearing everything the dark-haired girl confessed.

"I have to go," the young woman says hurriedly. "If Mr. Walton sees me here talking to you, he'll fire me."

"I'm Mia," I introduce myself before she leaves. "I completely forgot to tell you my name."

"I'm Sara," she shakes my hand after introducing herself.

"Any advice you can give me before you go?" I say with a slight smile.

"Always follow Elias's instructions without protesting, it's better than ending up six feet under."

Sara comes closer and hugs me tightly to try to cheer me up.

"See you," she says as she pulls away.

I wave goodbye to Sara as she rushes to the door, which she locks again to prevent me from leaving and escaping.

If Sara, a simple employee of the house, has a key to the room where they're holding me prisoner, that means even Elias has a key to enter whenever he wants.

I lie down on the bed and curl up into a fetal position, imagining that at any moment that maniac, murderer, and kidnapper will come through that door and hurt me again.

When Elias beat me furiously for asking for help, memories of my childhood passed through my mind one by one like a movie.

My mom was a very beautiful woman, she was a redhead, she had freckles around her sweet face, she had beautiful blue eyes, her voice was so melodious, there was too much beauty in a woman who was only 5'5".

In contrast, Dad was very different from her in many ways. He was a tall man, around 5'10", he had completely black hair and his eyes were light brown and very deep.

While Mom had a gentle character, he had a strong and overbearing character.

The night of January 4th comes to my memory, the night Mom died because of my father.

He used to come home drunk, and when that happened, Daniel would take my hand and we would both run to Daniela's room, who at that time was a small baby of only two weeks old. That pink room was our only safe place until Dad calmed down.

But that night he never calmed down, he brutally beat my mother who only begged him to stop, but he ignored her pleas and only stopped when Mom no longer moved.

That day marked me for life, and I still remember it as if it were yesterday.

He fled, and justice was never done for Mom's murder.

I don't want to end up like her, I want to get out of here alive, but surely this "mansion" is full of security, cameras and guards must be guarding all day and night waiting to see something slightly suspicious to shoot at, and I don't want to die that way either.

I have to wait for the perfect moment to get out of this hell, I know it will come, sooner or later I will be able to flee far from everything and everyone.
