Episode 3 : Things aren't going the way this princess wants! 2

“What are you guys doing?” A male voice came from their backs, the three looked at the man in white polo and black leather jacket.

Liang Shui was dumbfounded seeing what his two friends are trying to do, “I still can quite understand about Lu Jin but you Yuan?” He shook his head in disappointment.

“Well, she is too cute” Qing Yuan responded, he didn’t bother giving any better explanation.

“!” On the other hand Lu Jin looked at Liang Shui silently, his eyes screaming being ‘wronged’.

Liang Shuo ignored Lu Jin, he didn't want bother about his sometimes genius sometimes idiotic friend. Without a doubt he's proud of the man being his friend but there are unavoidable times he wants to disown the man.

Liang Shui shifted his eyes to Mingxia, her eyes are sparkling brightly, he saw the girl ran behind his back and murmur: “Thank god there's someone normal here.” Liang Shui smiled at the little girl and patted her head, “Wanna eat?” He ask, in response Mingxia nodded excitedly.

Lu Jin and Qing Yuan looked at their backs, betrayal brewing on their hearts. Wasn't the girl rescued by them first? How come she would chose the other man than them?

“Here” Liang Shui passed Mingxia a bowl of Pelmeni, Pelmeni is considered the national dish of Russia, they are pastry dumplings typically filled with minced meat and wrapped in a thin, pasta-like dough. They can be served alone, slathered in butter and topped with sour cream, or in a soup broth.

‘How come the little girl I rescued is so close to Liang Shui?’ Qing Yuan thought.

Lu Jin and Qing Yuan are burning in jealousy but the other two didn't spare them a single glance; Mingxia is too immersed in the delicious foods to notice while Liang Shui seems to be doing it deliberately.

“Open your mouth” Liang Shui said gently, Mingxia opened her mouth and a teaspoon of caviar entered her mouth, “I especially asked the main chef to get the best grade they have, do you like it?” Liang Shui asked, Mingxia nodded in response, ‘Human mortals are weak compared to other races but they do make good foods, just like how one of my senior martial sibling said’ Mingxia thought, she is talking about one of her senior martial sibling that sneaked out to the human world when she was still Vitiya, ‘That person said they make really good food and senior wasn't wrong!’.

Mingxia giggled happily, she was happily eating on her own when the door opened.

A man in formal suit came in, his black eyes are tough and his black hair is neat. He is Fang Rui, Mingxia’s fiancee in name, as everybody would say. “Good afternoon gentlemen, I'm here for my fiance. Mingxia” Fang Rui showed a smile that didn't reach his eyes, the three men nodded, even if they wanted to interfere they couldn't do much as the man is the girls fiancee. The man was already engaged with Mingxia even before either of them were born.

“Yeah?” Mingxia answered, she can’t remember the man even though he screams familiarity. ‘No wonder it's my fiancee’ She thought.

“You seem well, at least better than what I’ve heard” Fang Rui said coldly. “Yeah, they helped me” Mingxia answered calmly, she could care less about a man she couldn't remember.

“Mr. Fang don’t you think you are being too harsh to the girl?” Liang Shui interrupted, he didn’t want to interrupt but seeing Fang Rui's attitude towards the girl he couldn't help it.

“Yeah, how old are you?” Qing Yuan taunted, he's obviously pointing out their age difference. While Ying Mingxia is 16, he is 23, this means they have 7 years age difference.

Hearing the meaning of his words, Fang Rui’s face darken, “I hope you do not interfere to personal matters next time, sirs” He then grab Mingxia’s arm, he wanted to drag her out but the girl retaliated. “You also should learn not to interrupt others meal time next time, Mr. Fang!”, hearing how he was called Fang Rui laughed mockingly and said: “I was gone for a few months and now I'm called Mr. Fang, huh Mingxia?”, Mingxia flinched and like a body mechanism, tears started falling from her eyes, seeing her reaction Fan Rui unconsciously let go of her arm.

Liang Shui and Qing Yuan almost stood up after seeing her crying, they wanted to come forward but Lu Jin stopped them.

“I don’t even remember you! How would I know what to call you!” Mingxia cried. Since she woke up, her emotions had been uncontrollable, it was as if she turned into a child.

Fang Rui was confused, the girl didn't remember him?

“I might have an idea, please sit down Mr. Fang, let's discuss it” Lu Jin offered. Fang Rui nodded and sat down beside Mingxia.

Meanwhile Liang Shui who is on the other side of Mingxia gave her Medovik – Honey Cake.

After getting a cake, Mingxia immediately stopped crying and started eating, a large smile bloomed on her face from the first bite.

Seeing her stop crying just because of a cake Fang Rui was surprised. ‘Is this really my fiance?’ Fang Rui thought, are his eyes tricking him?

“What exactly is your idea, Lu Jin?” Qing Yuan asked, “Those kidnappers injected a strange fluid to these kids, and those guys seem to have given more than they should to Mingxia causing her head to be foggy, a lot of her memories might be missing or foggy, had we been later she could have died” Lu Jin explained. “Why didn’t you tell us earlier?” Liang Shui asked furiously, “It was hypothetical! I couldn't be sure and the girl needs to eat before I inject anything to soothe the fluid inside her” Lu Jin said. “Will she ever get her memory back?” Fang Rui asked. “The possibility is low as of now” Lu Jin shaked his head. “Is there any of the same case with the other kids?” Liang Shui asked. Lu Jin shook his head, “Thankfully there's none, another team of doctors are handling those kids and no same case is reported til now.”

“Was it a mistake or was she targeted somehow?” Qing Yuan asked worriedly. “It may or may not be” Liang Shui himself is uncertain.

“Why would they target her?” Another voice sounded. Hearing this voice, Liang Shui’s face darkened, “What an annoying person.”

“Don’t be like that brother, my people told me you're here and I hurried. Can’t you appreciate that at all?”.

“Ha, Liang Shuo” Liang Shui rolled his eyes in sarcasm, “Hello” Liang Shuo greeted playfully, “The chances are unkown” Liang Shui answered.
