Episode 5 : The Cruel Comparison of Sun and Moon

Ying Mingxia eagerly watched the scenery through the car window, besides her is Fang Rui reading newspaper. This morning she parted with the good uncle's and came with Fang Rui. She could still remember the three's face, they did not want to leave her to her fiancee's care but they had no other choice, the man is Mingxia's fiance and has the right to take the little girl back.

“Sir and lady we're at the airport” Lu Lifu, Fang Rui's assistant, said.

Fang Rui nodded before speaking to Mingxia, “Let's go”. His voice was neither cold nor gentle, the man expresses neither like nor hate to the young girl.

His actions surprised Lu Lifu, this was the first time his boss has spoken to Mingxia in a voice that is not cold, ‘What has I missed yesterday?’ The man cannot fathom. Yesterday he wasn't able to come with Fang Rui as he needed to deal with the business Fang Rui left behind inorder to fetch his ‘fiancee’.

Despite Fang Rui not acknowledging Mingxia, she was still the little girl entrusted by their parents to him.

“Do you have any orders sir Fang, lady Ying?” A flight attendant inquired politely, “A bottle of wine and–” Fang Rui glanced at Mingxia on the window seat “–get her a grape juice and some desserts, she'll like anything as long as it's sweet, pick your best.”

The flight attendant nodded, she did a quick bow before leaving. After a few while, she came back with a cart, she carefully placed the bottle of wine and glass on the side of the desk Fang Rui is closer, then she placed the grape juice and desserts on Mingxia's side of the table.

Seeing what she was given, Mingxia smiled at the flight attendant cheerfully. She couldn't be more thankful for the food.

The flight attendants eyes shook before she made her exit with half of her sanity lost, ‘Rumors should never be trusted’ She thought.

Fang Rui watched the whole scene in silence, he can quite relate to the flight attendants reaction as he was also shock of Mingxia's sudden change. ‘I guess memory loss can change everything’ He shakes his head and continued doing his business.

Meanwhile, Mingxia didn't notice any changes or happenings, she is silently but happily watching a movie, while taking little bites from her desserts, and sips from her juice. ‘Senior couldn't be more right about humans culinary skills!’ She thought in glee.

After more than eight hours, the plane has landed safely. Ying Mingxia, Fang Rui, and Lu Lifu have all went directly to an assigned longue at the airport.

When Mingxia came in the longue, she was immediately hugged by a woman, shocked by the sudden contact, her hands reflexively pushed the woman away.

Witnessing this, Fang Rui automatically shouted: “MINGXIA!”.

Mingxia's face drops, her expression unclear. “I shouldn't have expected much from a man of sun, after all there's no way he'll turn his head back from the sun”, Mingxia scoffs and walks out with her luggage.

When Fang Rui came to his senses, Mingxia was already too far for his reach. Xing Yang clutches his shoulder tightly, her pitiful voice echoing, “Rui-ge I'm sorry, I seem to have maddened young miss, maybe she's still mad that the butler took me instead”, a tear escaped from her eye. “It's okay, you leave first” Fang Rui tried his best to be considerate to her despite his emotions going haywire. “Are you mad at me too, ge?” She ask, “No, just leave for now, 'kay?” His voice turned stiffer as his emotions wants to be unleashed. “But ge-” Before the girl could even continue Fang Rui spoke, “Please leave, n.o.w. Zhou Yang” His voice didn't sound anything, it was silent and despite the neutral voice anyone directed with his sentence would feel cold, his emotions finally got the best of him.

From that, Xing Yang cried, finally. The man had never spoken to her like this, “Yes I'll take my leave, sir Fang, I'll talk to young miss privately about the butler choosing me.” After saying this, the girl run off to nowhere.

Within the butlers side of the story, he came with the money as instructed by the kidnappers, it was only him as one servant was asked to deliver the ransom, they also specified ‘only one’.

Once he got there, he was surprised from the sudden change of deal. They said he can only pick one and the other would stay while they wait for another bag of cash. Naturally from his instincts he wanted to chose Ying Mingxia, as after all she was the real young miss of the family, and her mother was the one who hired him when he was at his lowest, this is one of the big things he could do for the decease. But Xing Yang has appeared injured infront of him on purpose, he couldn't bear not to take her so he chose her instead. Once they got back the whole family was too worried over Xing Yang to even listen to a single word from him, in the end he couldn't find any other way but to call the police on his own, though someone was already working with the case, he couldn't just sit there so he contacted the police and inquired about it, the patriarch of the Xing's haven't contacted the police with the two kidnappings on their family as to play safe, or so they thought it was. In the end, one of the few who cared and rescued Mingxia is the butler.

The pure flower is actually a tainted black in disguise. Xing Yang was no sunlight, she eats the sunlight herself, inorder to look like one while the real ones dies to become a lightless light.

Fang Rui massages his scalp and murmured, “I didn't mean to, it was just like an automatic mechanism, Mingxia.”

Lu Lifu witnessed everything in silence, he always knew there was something more about the girl named ‘Xing Yang’, originally named ‘Zhou Yang’. He is a wise man, he knows how to differentiate tricks and reality, an area where Fang Rui can never defeat him in. Seeing the scene a while ago and experiencing twenty-four hours with Mingxia, he figured out the girl has a kind heart, but from time to time it was clear she is also easy to provoke, ‘Easy to manipulate into an act of bully, a fake bullying’. Lu Lifu has dealt with a lot of women who wanted to climb his bed as he was the youngest young master of the influential Lu's, though he'd rather be with Fang Rui and assist him than deal with them. But right now he is noticing some odd similarities of those women to Xing Yang.

“Rui” Lu Lifu called out, as they're alone now they can call each other whatever names they like. “Yes?” Fang Rui answered casually, there are not many people he can talk to like this. “How about we investigate the two women's matter?” He suggested. “Huh? What's the need for?” He might not like what happened a while ago, but he doesn't find any need for an investigation. Suddenly his face darken, “Are you taking a liking on my fiancee?”.

“Alright, I'll put everything on your desk tomorrow, and please be quick sir, the car has arrive, you can go wile I search for the lady” Lu Lifu said, “This man! I swear if you dare take fancy of my fiancee I'll kill you” Fang Rui stared at the empty space, he was left alone.
