Chapter Two

Erina suddenly wanted Valentin to feel regret!

Three years ago, she left the Haden Hall, her family's ancestral hall, to find true love. The head of the family, Marshal Li, and Erina came into an agreement. All she wished was to leave her responsibilities as the head of the Black Hawks and live a silent life, even if the old man would remove her from the family registry.

If she can get married at the span of three years, she could go.

Originally, she wanted to pursue medicine. So the elders of their family allowed her, but, in exchange to that, she would enter military, just as her family's tradition.

The Li family has produced countless marshals and generals. For the first time in history, the Li family has a daughter. Even though she is a girl, she isn't exempted from the burden of that tradition: to enter military.

So she entered military, in another country's military academy.

Not everyone knew that they had a daughter. Only a bunch of people knew her existence. She was well hidden through the years, using her mother's maiden name, to hide her identity.

Erina glanced on the man beside her once more. After an hour she was a married woman, she held the marriage certificate in her hands.

"General Xue, may I have a few words with you?"

"Get in the car!" Benjamin put his eyeglasses once more and entered the car. Erina followed closely. After getting in, she nervously looked at him before saying anything else.

"Thank you for marrying me. If you need anything in return, don't hesitate to tell me. Well, I have three requests, please hear them out. I hope you could abide at them."

"Speak" Benjamin loosened his collar as he responded tiredly.

"First, please do not reveal our relationship unless it's an emergency. Second, do not interfere in my personal matters unless needed. During the period of our relationship, I won't get close to another man. Lastly, please don't reveal my identity. I trust you, General Xue."

Benjamin gave a slight smirk. A dangerous aura swept through the car, "I promise you...but, after 6 months, I will publicly announce our marriage."

"Thank you!" Erina slightly nodded.

"Also...I don't believe a married couple should live separately! I'll give you three days to pack all your belongings and move inside the military compound. My assistant will be in touch with you."

Erina had no objections. Since they were now married, a request like this was reasonable. So she obediently nodded her head as she replied, "I agree!"

"Good!"

After the two made their verbal agreement, Erina got out of his car and left. Benjamin's assistant sat himself in the driver's seat and looked at him through the rear view mirror, "General, shall we return to the office? Or would you like to return to the estate to tell the marshal the news?"

"Follow Alice and report her every move to me!" General Xue ordered before stepping out of the car.

Suddenly asking him to marry her, something must have happened!

X Road

Erina drove away. She brought her car so she could just leave it there and follow his husband.

She is now a married woman. Erina looked at the passenger's seat and looked at the marriage certificate she held minutes ago.

After pondering thoughts, her phone suddenly ringed. It was from the estate. She answered very quickly.

"I'm going home" with that, she ended the call.

Everyone didn't anticipate her highness' homecoming. They were in shock and before they could recover from it, the butler opened the door of the sedan where the young miss is sitting.

"No need for formalities. Where is the marshal?"

"In the drawing room, your highness" the servants said in unison. The young miss of theirs wasn't whom they could see every day. After 6 years, she went back to the estate again.

The estate where she used to live was massive. Walls were encrusted with gold and the columns were lined with silver. It is painstakingly beautiful. Anyone could guess that aristocrats lived here and they would be right. They are aristocrats, indeed.

"Grandfather"

"Oh Erina! How come did you went back here? I thought you wouldn't step into my lovely drawing room of mine?" Irina, is really doted. As the fifth and youngest child in the family, everyone fancied her. She is an epitome of beauty and authority.

This old man is really joking. She thought.

"Grandfather, I think there's something that you should know" with the serious face of her, the old man's heart stopped.

"The marriage isn't going to happen anymore"

And again, the elder's heart stopped.

Bang!

Looking on the other side of the room, there was her second brother, and her mom

Oh no! They heard it! I am so dead! The timing is wrong geez what should I do? What should I do?

"Irina dear? What did you say? What happened?" Her mother rushed unto her. My dear mother is probably going to overreact at this. I hope she would faint.

"Mom, the-

"To cut the story short, mother, your poor daughter was cheated by that bastard. That guy, I shouldn't have entrusted him my sister" This time around, it was her first brother who cut her.

I smell rage and fury! How should I tell my mother that I broke off my engagement with that bastard guy and married a random guy in front of the civil affairs administration.

"But, grandfather, mom, errr"

"What errr? Spill the tidbits, young sister"

My grandfather slammed the table "Erina Li! I demand you to tell what happened next!"

"Err grandfather, after that, I married a random guy"

"WHAT?!?!" the poor marshal spitted the tea he was sipping. So hot!

The mistress of the house, her mother, fainted. Luckily, she was caught by her second brother.

"And, I am bringing him home next new year."

The next thing they didn't knew, her grandfather fainted because of the unexpected news her granddaughter told them.

Eldest brother frowned in disappointment. Just who is the man he married?
