After 6 hours of nerve wracking surgery, Erina's fiancée picked her up and bought her home to their apartment. It was 3 days since she last went home, she is so tired because of the numerous emergencies their department had to go through. Finally coming to her senses, she forced to open her eyes, holding back an excruciating headache. As her vision cleared, she could see a man and a woman, kissing passionately in a dimly lit room.

Erina looked at two in shock, like being strucked by lightning as they continue to kiss by her side. The anger inside her began to boil...

"Lina, my sweetheart, stop messing around, Erina only just fell asleep!" the man restrained the woman by her waist.

In an annoyed tome, Shin Lina responded "Are you afraid she will wake up and see us, oh come on! It's your wedding day tomorrow, why won't you give yourself to me tonight?!"

"You are such a troublemaker, let's go to the other room" the man said seductively

"No! Let's do it here- Oh wait, let's do it in the bathtub!" Shin Lina swiftly unbuttoned the man's shirt as their lips locked once again.

Who would have thought that the man who would he marry the next day, would be cheating right in front of her?

She tried to hold back her tears, but no, it poured like a stream!

Because of this man, she had to give up her priorities and her responsibilities. Because of this man, she left her family, her most beloved family who doted her for 20 years! Because of this man! She gave up everything, she being the next chief of the general surgery in the empires' top one hospital, her life which was once peaceful and silent. As it turned out, all she worked hard for, everything she did went towards preparing someone else's wedding dress!

She still had a lot of patience. Being a doctor, she had lots of it.

Erina continued to lie to herself. To believe what's really happening.

'It's just a horrible nightmare, tomorrow it'll be okay again' she told herself

At dawn, Shin Lina complained of being unwell as she led Valentin Han out. With that, Valentin was to leave and not return...

The next day, as planned, Erina drove herself to the Civil Affairs office with a bitter smile. As she stepped out of her car, she opened her phone and scrolled through her notifications. She was about to give Valentin a call, but, as she viewed his text message, it seems that he won't arrive anymore.

There is no 'another day', Erina disappointingly told herself.

Erina was about to leave when her eyes were drawn to a tall figure heading her way. She couldn't help but steal glances to this man, who has a jet black hair, his fitted Armani suit that complimented the masculine body underneath.

Looking down, she could see a perfectly straight legs leading to a pair of freshly polished Italian black leather shoes which glistened in the sun.

Although he was wearing sunglasses, one can see his chiseled face and sexy lips, which is enough to make women crazy!

Lubdub. Lubdub. Lubdub.

Why is her heart beating fast! Could it be that she was already enticed by this man?

Erina recognized this man, he was the Commander Executive of the Destroyers, 1st team of the elite special forces in the whole empire. Back then when she was still showing her presence in the army, she met him on the military ball hosted by their superiors. Although they didn't interact personally, and he haven't seen her face, it is enough that she knew him very well because his and her team isn't on good terms.

Is he... going to get married too?

"Commander, Miss Murong has not arrived on time... she is late by fifteen minutes!" the assistant behind him reported. By the looks of it, his rank is lieutenant colonel.

"Ring them and tell them if they can't be on time to a wedding, then forget it!" the man responded coldly.

Suddenly, an idea came to Erina's mind. Taking off her sunglasses, she walked in front of the man and gently suggested, "General Xue, your bride hasn't arrived and my groom has run away...may I suggest we get married?"

Benjamin's assistant froze in disbelief, how is this woman so brave...?

Erina stood straight in confidence, she had gathered all her courage to do this.

Benjamin removed his sunglasses, revealing a pair of dark ink-like eyes; his pupils glimmered like a diamond. After a short moment, he turned to his assistant and ordered, "Give me her details!"

Of course, Benjamin's assistant already knew who she was. He quickly grabbed his cell phone, did a quick search for Erina's name and offered the findings to his boss. Two minutes later, the man's lips twitched ever so slightly as he responded with one word, "OK!"

Ultimately, she wanted Valentin to regret his decision!

When it was time to sign the certificate, the assistant's eyes bulged by the name she wrote.

It wasn't the calligraphy he was looking at, the name! That family name!
