Repeatedly, Chaca checked her phone, but not a single message had come through, making her feel utterly alone the entire day. She was even clueless about where her three close friends might be.
"My phone's as quiet as my own heart," Chaca grumbled to herself.
Ding!
A WhatsApp notification suddenly popped up.

"When did you start seeing A Arlan, Cha? I can't believe you'd do this to me!"
Thump!
Hanna's message, along with a photo she sent, seized Chaca's heart, halting its beats. How could Hanna send her a picture where she's hand in hand with Arlan—the assistant to her friend's husband and her friend's lover?
Without replying to Hanna's message, Chaca tried calling Hanna, but her calls were repeatedly rejected.

'Han, I can explain, you've got the wrong idea about me, Han, please pick up!'
Chaca panicked and kept trying to call Hanna to no avail as Hanna continued to ignore her calls.
"Who the devil is trying to sow discord between me and Hanna?" Chaca cursed in irritation, then quickly grabbed her jacket and motorcycle keys.
As Chaca was dashing down the stairs, her strides halted when she heard Leona's voice coming from the living room.
"Where are you off to?" Leona asked, observing Chaca's hurried escape.
"Out," replied Chaca briefly, resuming her steps, though not as swiftly as before.
After nearly 30 minutes of high-speed riding, Chaca arrived at Hanna and Nayla's place. She could see Arlan there, attempting to soothe Hanna, who was turned away from him, with Nayla standing not far from both Hanna and Arlan.
"Hanna..." Chaca called out, disembarking from her motorcycle and approaching Hanna and Arlan.
"Why are you here?" Hanna asked coldly.
"Han, I swear I've got nothing going on with your guy, swear on everything, I'm not involved with him," Chaca declared, clutching Hanna's hand in an attempt to clarify the situation.
"The other day, I met Arlan by chance, and yes, we spoke briefly because I had something to ask him, but swear, Han, there's nothing between us," Chaca implored, her eyes brimming with tears, terrified of losing her friend over such trivial slander.
"You're so stale, Cha!" Hanna half-shouted, surprising Chaca, as Hanna never referred to her so informally before.
"I can't believe you'd stab me in the back like this, Cha. You're so cruel; I thought you were my friend, but you did this to me," Hanna mourned, squatting down and covering her face with her hands while crying.
"Han, I'm serious, there's no intent here, this is just a misunderstanding, don't do this, Han," Chaca pleaded, crouching in front of Hanna.
"Darling..." Arlan interjected softly.
"Quiet, A'... Are you happy now, seeing Hanna and Chaca fall out like this, are you satisfied?!" Hanna screamed at Arlan while crying, and he immediately enveloped her tightly in his arms.
"I hate you both, I hate you!" Hanna yelled again, breaking free from Arlan's embrace.
"Hanna, forgive me, you're just misunderstanding," Chaca continued to insist on the misapprehension.
"Easy for you to say misunderstanding, you don't know how hurt I am finding out my boyfriend cheated with my own friend!" Hanna exclaimed.
"But I didn't cheat with your guy, Han!" Chaca retorted just as fervently.
"You're stale, Cha, just stale!" Hanna scolded, piercing Chaca with her gaze, causing Chaca to cry out of guilt.
"Let it be, my love," Arlan spoke softly.
"Enough already, are you pleased to be fought over by two girls, huh?!" Hanna snapped at Arlan.
"Hanna..." Chaca sobbed. "I'm so sorry."
"Let it go, love, look at Chaca, she's really sorry..." Arlan whispered to Hanna.
"I'm sorry, Han, I really had no intention with your guy, I swear on everything. I was just curious about Mr. Duren, which is why I spoke briefly with your guy, nothing more, please believe me, Han. I would never betray our friendship," Chaca wept miserably, covering her face with her hands.
