Hospital

My eyes hurt as I slowly opened my eyes. Taking a few minutes to adjust to the lighting, it became obvious that I wasn't at my home, or Jack’s. I spent a few minutes collecting my memory when all came flooding in. Panic hit me once more as my thoughts ran everywhere due to the lack of answers to any of my questions. After a minute, I realized I was at the hospital, which meant there would be a button to call the nurses and doctors. I deucedly pressed the buttons hoping to see someone familiar.

Nurses wide opened the door and helped me calm down by patting my back and making me lie on the bed. “Where’s Jack?” I asked the nurse. “We’ll call him in, but please stay calm.” she says as she goes to bring him.

And there he was, rushing through the door. He embraced me for a long time as he kissed me on my cheeks. “ Listen, it's not what it looked like last night, I swear I got really drunk..” “So I wasn’t hallucinating after all,” I cut him off. “Don’t you have a concert today? Why are you here?” I asked knowing exactly what I was dealing with.

“You were more important than the concert...” “Oh please, shut it. You came here to explain about you, not for caring about me. I should have known when you didn't want to make our relationship official to the public” I said after letting out the truth to which I had turned a blind eye for the past two years. “It has nothing to do with this.” he said, raising his volume, which seemed to have triggered me as familiar dizziness came back to me. “Call Jungkook,” I said, before fainting once more. He was the only one I trusted and the one person who I needed at that moment.

 I opened my eyes as I regained consciousness, I saw Jungkook peacefully sleeping with his head on my bed. It looked about late night as I started to stretch a little without waking him.  I slowly got up to fetch my phone as I was feeling better, but I accidently knocked down a water bottle nearby which woke Jungkook up with a startle.  “Oh! What happened?”

“Sorry! I just wanted to grab my phone real quick.” “Y/N ! You could have woken me up. I would have helped you.” he said as the sleepy face slowly turned into a serious one. “Now, if I see you get up from that seat again, I will tell everyone what happened at the swimming pool when you were eight. I am very sure you don't want me to” I was horrified at the thought of the idea. It was one of my most embarrassing memories till date.

“Okay. But you better not.” I said while trying to regain my composure. “Okay” he said smiling as sat beside me in my bed. He gently held my hand and rubbed the back of my palm with his tender fingers.“So uh, the doctor said you had a severe panic attack and…” he said looking down, all the cheer drained from him, “...A third one would make you much more weak so you shouldn’t be doing anything that triggers another one for the next few days.” “Oh.” I said, after listening intensely.Before I could reply, he started “ So I thought it would be a good idea if you spend your time with us at our home. The more the merrier” he said looking at me with those puppy eyes which would make anyone say a yes. “Okay,” I said smiling.

I’ve been to highschool with all his other band members and we still kept in touch. Back then, I was envied by a lot of people as I hung out with them everyday and I was the only girl Jungkook felt comfortable enough speaking to everyday. I smiled as I knew I would have a great time and forget my worries altogether for a while.
