Chapter -2 (Meeting)

The sun spread its golden ray as it rises. The rays hit Charlotte eyes as her maid, Lily, open the curtain. Without complaining she pulled herself out of the bed and Lily helps her getting freshen up and dressed.

"Miss you looked tired, are you Okay?" concerned Lily.

"Yes I am a little exhausted from yesterday but I be fine Lily"

"Oh, Miss why don't I called the doctor then?"

"No need I am used to this"

"Ok , then Miss let me asked the cook to make you some nutrition soup."

"Ok, Thank "

"oh..…. 😳Miss that my job please don't say that again" Lily stammered

Seeing her Charlotte chuckled softly.

hehehe Lily smile not know what to do.

The whole family sits down for breakfast- the Baron, Lord Peter Danielson, his wife Baroness Angelina, His son Honorable Josh Peterson, his second son Honorable Benjamin Peterson and lastly Lady Charlotte- the room was filled with cold chilly atmosphere no one intended to break the iceberg. Finally Lord Peter Danielson, who could not tolerate the family Walls anymore, asked them "How is everyone your business going on?"

"Well I am going out of capital for a week's " Benjamin answered

"Where are you going?" asked Baroness Angelina.

" The mill at the north east are having a problem, I need to personally go there for analysing the situation"

"what happened" Asked Charlotte

"well.." Benjamin narrates the whole situation for them which make them think hard for the solution.

"If the workers thinks the pay is not enough for the job as it's risky then we have no choice but to fired them as we cannot afford to pay them double or just offered them insurance over the victims" Charlotte expressed his opinion

"well that's too risky but we can try" reply Benjamin

"They cannot afford to loose their job as they have stomach to fill and the pay right now are more than enough to fill stomach for a family for months to come" Charlotte suggested

"Yes! That's true" exclaimed the Baron.

Benjamin decided to applied his sister tactics.

Charlotte left the house to Elizabeth after breakfast for their brunch. The chariot stoped, Lily went out to asked while Charlotte sits inside, she could hears people quarrelling but could not pick up a word as it was a busy place.

Lily came in and she told her she could not really get to know the reason but they looks like couple.

" It'll takes a long time Miss"

"I don't have time for it let's take the long route"

"long route?"

"The forest"

"but miss what if we get robbed!"

"just go I don't like being late"

The roads were bumpy and there was quite except for the chariot and the horses. Charlotte was enjoying the moment but like before the chariot pulled to sudden stop, Charlotte was lucky that Lily get to hold he back from falling.

"What is going on!" Lily shouted as she went out.Charlotte hears Lily screaming "Thief" her heart pound hard and her ears temperature increases did she heard it right. What have I done she says to herself.

The thief pulled her out and held her down she could tell they were nine of them and they are only three. She was loosing her mind, she regretted her decision only if she listened to Lily. The thief tooks all their jewelry and they beat up the charioteer. Charlotte felt so helpless but she doesn't show her weakness. You can't fall down was the only thing she heard in her head.

Neigh~ the sound turned everyone attention towards its direction. They saw a man riding a Tennessee walker .

"The horse is rare we could get a good price for it" exclaimed one of them.

"No remember what boss told us, keep low profile"

Hearing this Charlotte knew this was all planned but who would do such a thing?
