Chapter 5

      It was almost 7:00 and I got ready to go to the bar on 37th Street, it was now 6:45 and I had enough time to leave. As I walked in the bar it was now 6:50, I looked in the crowd of people and didn’t see him. I heard the door open then closed and then someone spoke. “ Your here early, Roxanne.” I knew it was him, Kevin. He came in front of me and sat down on a bar stole and patted beside him for me to sit. I did, I sat down and ordered a small drink. Soon enough the small drinks became half a bottle. My drinking limit was medium, so I was wasted. Everything was fuzzy and I felt my abilities kicking in so I stumbled out of there and walk into an alleyway and used them on anything just to make it stop. What I didn’t know is that Kevin was there when my vision went black.

    I woke up in a strange room, still clothed, but the room was nice. It looked like a teenage boys room, and my thoughts went to last night, then I remembered. I passed out went Kevin came and caught me, I was in his car and he put me in his room. So that is what happened, oh SHIN I used my abilities in front of him again. Oh no, I went up and out of the room to find him in the kitchen making breakfast. He seemed calm about last night, then again I was the one drunk. He heard me coming and turned around to look at me. He smiled, his eyes had lust and anger in them. I backed away slowly but he grabbed my hand before I could leave. And I focused on the burner and turned it up, then looked back at him. He saw the smoke and let go so I had my chance to get away, but hit nothing causing my to stop dead in my tracks.

     I looked behind me and saw his hand had a blue glow around it. I then realized he has abilities like me. I looked shocked but managed to speak.  “ You have abilities, like me. Is that why you didn’t tell the police?” He looked down, I still saw his eyes it had sadness and anger in them. I walked closer to him, he looked up at me and I stopped walking. I walked once again and stopped right in front of him and wrapped my arms around him holding him tight. He slowly put his arm down and hugged me while his head was on my shoulder. I felt small wet spots and knew he was crying, all I did was hold him tighter and said sweet nothings into his ear letting him know that he was fine. Awhile after crying and holding, he lets go and compose himself. He was now the calm and cool guy that I met. His eyes changed color when he used his ability, purple. He looked at me and started to lean in. As did I, our second kiss. It was sweet, passionate, and soft like his lips. We lasted 1 minute before we broke apart. He put his forehead against mine and kissed it softly. He went back to cooking breakfast.
