My Only Hope Is You

First encounter

Only a few care about our existence, in this world we might not even matter to anyone.

Slowly we fade away, like an insignificant piece of memory.

" I don't wanna fade away...like that. " I said softly looking out of the window, staring at a poor kitten, shivering in the harsh, cold weather.

Someday it might die, probably no one would even bother too save it.

" Hah..!! "

Would it also be hoping for a sunny day like me? Should I just save it? Someone will be there to give me company too.

These thoughts kept lingering inside my mind.

"Oh looks like it doesn't need me now..."

A little girl around 8 or 9 yrs came skipping towards it and bent down. She scooped it up in her little arms and cuddled it. The bright smile on her face which was incomparable to anything, the joy that she must've felt, the hope that she gave to the lil cat made my heart bloom with love.

Even though I was a little sad inside but it was all for the best, since my parents wouldn't let me keep it anyway.

Hmm...it was unusually quiet did my two childish parents, a sorry excuse for adults die or something. Let's just go and check on them.

I wasn't even halfway down the stairs and I could already feel that it was a really bad decision. The black fumes of hatred and disgust and the gloomy weather outside felt so suffocating.

Ugh...let them be, I will just sneak out from the back door. I have no energy to have a duel with both of them today.

After grabbing my jacket I tip toed and opened the door softly. Luckily it did not make any creaking sound.

Phew....breathing in the fresh air felt so good. Even though it was a little chilly, it was much better than staying in those enclosed walls.

A soft breeze brushed against my cheek, feeling like a light touch of a hand caressing my skin.

The pitch black sky and the empty roads without a single soul to be seen made the whole neighborhood give off a creepy vibe.

Sigh...anything to get away from those two. I fastened my footsteps hoping that this storm would also calm down like always.

I wish someone would also be there to be my sunshine.

Just as that thought passed through my mind, I heard a voice from behind me.

"Hey!! excuse me."

I froze in my steps. There wasn't supposed to be anyone, I pretty much made sure of that.

How come this person approached me without a single noise.?

"Hey, didn't you hear me?!!..."

I flinched at the sound of his voice. He sounded impatient.

I shut my eyes and took a deep breath. Clearing all my wavering thoughts, I slowly turned around and asked bluntly - "Yea, what do you want?!.."

There was no need to be polite to a stranger.

We both stared at each other for a bit, observing ourselves from head to bottom.

Apart from being extremely handsome like a male lead that jumped right out from a manhwa, he looked really tired while dragging a big suitcase behind him.

I tilted my head a bit....hm...is he new here?

Maybe. It's none of my business anyways. I just wanna have some peace.

Looking at him closely, his demeanor and appearance, strangely felt really familiar like we had met before. His eyes which were as black as obsidian, for some reason made me think that they hid a lot of secrets behind them.

A chill went down my spine, seems like a piece of bad memory!

Ahh...I wasn't in any place to judge him, but still couldn't get rid of that habit.

Leather jacket, piercings, classic white tee and that laid-back baddass look...a typical bad boy huh cool !!

But that wasn't of my concern..

Why isn't he speaking? I thought he wanted to ask me something. But now we both stood there like fools with him having this perplexed and shocked expression plastered on his face.

Am I that scary?...haizz

Oh god...seriously, say something. I don't have all day to stand here to catch a cold and be sick the next day.!!

Annoyed, I snapped my fingers right in front of his face to bring him back to reality.

" Hey! if you ain't got anything to say, imma leave. "

He blinked a couple of times, and shaked his head as if just breaking out of a spell.

And if it couldn't get any more irritating, he burst into laughing! :<

" Looks like he ran away from a mental hospital. " I mumbled to myself loud enough for him to get the point.

He smirked and said- " As a matter of fact, I did. "

Sigh..oh dear god..! you just love too play with me don't you. All I need is some peace and quiet, is it too much to ask for? :<

" What other languages do you know instead of gibberish? "

" Haha..! very funny. "

" Seriously what the hell do you want?.."
