Bokuto peeked at the door of their bedroom, checking if Akaashi has finished preparing.

Yes, I just need to check if we got all the papers.
He entered the room, beaming with a smile.

I should probably tell him lots of stories!

Oh oh! Let's bring him to a toy store!

Bokuto was feeling edgy the whole trip to the orphanage.
As the car stopped in front of it, Bokuto took in a deep breath.
Akaashi held onto Bokuto's hand before they went out.

He smiled for a moment, feeling relieved.
Bokuto
You're just saying that because he already loves you.
Bokuto pouted, trying to act cute.
Akaashi sighed, he squeezed Bokuto's hand.

I know that Yachiro will also see what I loved about you, and he will love you like I do.

I can't marry him though.
He smiled, jokingly saying.
Bokuto kissed Akaashi's forehead.
As they both got out of the car, Akaashi made his way to the Adoptive Professional Office.
He needs to leave the papers for completion before they can take Yachiro.
After few talks with Sister May, they were allowed to fetch Yachiro from the chapel.
Bokuto was fidgety, getting really anxious on the fact that Yachiro might not like him.
It is mostly just him overthinking though.
Yachiro ran towards Akaashi, gently smiling.
Yachiro has met Akaashi a few times, whenever Akaashi was fixing some papers, talking to Sister May, they would both talk or play.
It took 7 months before Akaashi was able to settle everything necessary.
Within those 7 months, Akaashi was able to sneak in some bonding time with Yachiro.
Although it hasn't been that long, Yachiro has grown fond of Akaashi.
It is nice to see that Yachiro has finally warmed up to Akaashi, probably because the child grew up with no parents.

How is Yachiro-kun?
Akaashi knelt down to talk to Yachiro on same level.
Yachiro nodded, making Akaashi smile.
The child looked at the stranger beside Akaashi.
Akaashi
Yachiro-kun, this is Bokuto-san.
Akaashi
Bokuto-san, this is Yachiro-kun.
Akaashi introduced them to each other, Bokuto beamed a smile at Yachiro, but the little one didn't talk to him.
Yachiro looked at Akaashi again, rubbing his tummy.
Akaashi looked up at Bokuto, signalling that it is his turn to do something.

Th-then do you want to go eat somewhere?
Yachiro looked at Bokuto, then looked at Akaashi.
He stared at Bokuto again, probably confused on what to say or how to respond.
Bokuto was about to feel sad, a little panicked as to why Yachiro won't talk to him.
Akaashi held Yachiro's hand while smiling gently, implying to the child that it is okay.
Yachiro then walked to Bokuto, tugging his shirt.
Bokuto immediately smiled again, he was glad.
Bokuto reached for Yachiro and carried him.
Bokuto
Let's have some ice cream and not tell Akaa-chan.
Surely, that statement made Yachiro excited.
Bokuto
Yeah! It's our secret.
Bokuto grinned, trying to woo Yachiro more.
Akaashi
You two should probably lower your voice. I can still hear you.
