The sound of bornfire from the small chimney was all that could be heard in the room.. it was pleasant but gukk felt lonely.. He stood for few minutes before the window, staring outside.. To be honest, he doesn’t know what to do.. Shall he change his clothes, but then what will he wear.. it was a complicated dilemma for gukk.. He can’t believe he is married today with someone whom he has never seen in his life.. The red suit and thread wrapped around his hand, reminds him of the day when he was played by fate.. Flashbacks like live was being seen by gukk on the window.. The fire, the torture, the screams, the evilness and.. then there was the saviour who was none other than the man who has given him the name Kim.. who has changed his identity..

Gukk was little cold now as the rain was pouring heavily outside and the place was near mountainous region.. sighing and tired, gukk walked slowly scanning the room with his glossy doe eyes and clenching onto his heart innocently, sat on the bed..

Meanwhile on the other side.. Tae walks heavily and fast.. He stops nowhere and enters a room immediately

All that confident and pride aura Tae was holding the entire time outside.. all vanished like a puff now.. and is now shifted with panic and nervousness.. Tae walks back and forth in his study room.. He snatches his hair in frustration.. He can’t believe..

Tae was brought to reality, when a knock was heard on the door.. He got up, straightened his tie and brought back his cold aura.. and then opened the door...

Eldest master.. my lord and my madam have visited you in your quarters.. They want to meet you..

Tae’s posture was demanding, confident, pokered face and king-like.. His footsteps could be heard loudly with every step he took.. he walked towards the living area of his quarters, where two elderly people in their mid-50s were waiting for him.. Usually the couple smiles everytime Tae visits them, but tonight there is no smile.. Tae walked towards them..

Mother.. Father (bows and sat on the couch like a king)

To what honour do I owe your visit at this hour..

Are you seriously going to ask us.. why have we come here at this hour (angry)

Son..(says calmly)

Meanwhile.. it was already 2 am, and Gukk who was curled on the bed, woke up due to some noises coming from outside..

He was scared.. The noises seem to be of someone being angry.. He slowly got down from his bed.. His palms and forehead were getting sweaty.. He was constantly rubbing his palms to calm himself.. But nothing was helping him..

Gukk.. finally couldn’t stand there when the noises grew louder.. He remembered the face of his husband.. What if? His husband is in danger.. that’s what gukk thought and walked slowly outside the room.. His steps were slow and nervous.. He took the stairs and tilted his head a little to get a clear view of people downstairs .. An elderly couple and his husband’s back was visible.. Gukk took a deep breath and walked downstairs slowly...

Gukk was so scared with all the faces turned towards him.. He looked down, bit his lip.. Trying to hold his tears, but unintentionally they streamed down.. Tae who was nearest to gukk could see the fear in the little boy.. So he walked towards him and gently lifted his face.. Tae wiped his tears with his thumb from both eyes and held his hand.. Tae took gukk towards his parents..

Father and mother.. meet your son in law Kim jungkook..

Sit down Jungkook (while sitting on the couch himself)

(Sits quietly beside Tae, fidgeting with his fingers)

Shizoon was fuming in anger.. She can’t believe this boy is her eldest son’s wife.. Shizoon has many dreams for his son and gukk is definitely not one of them..

There was complete silence once Baekhyun left.. Gukk was still scared and nervous about his surroundings.. Tae was tired.. It is still difficult for the eldest master to believe and cope with the fact that he is married, even though he will with all honesty accept and be faithful in this marriage..

Why did you come down? (Looks at gukk intensely)

I.. heard the.. noises.. so.. I came down.. (looks at his feet and says softly)

Alright.. You should go back to bed.. it’s very late..

(Watches Tae’s back for sometime and then goes to his bedroom)

Tae went to his study room and changed into his house clothes.. (he keeps extra clothes over there as sometimes he overworks in his study room).. Tae wrapped a shawl around his shoulder and walked outside his house..

He walked a little and in the garden area near the big mansion, chattering of few men could be heard.. by now it has stopped raining and the climate has become foggy and chilled.. Tae walked and sat beside his father who was sitting on the couch taking puffs from a hukka pot through a pipe.. the other men were doing the same with their hukka pot.. Tae sat comfortably and took one puff..

You should have at least told us beforehand about your this marriage..

Tae walked inside the big mansion and towards his cute brother Jimin’s room.. he opened the door, and saw Jimin was laying carelessly in deep sleep.. Tae walked near him, gently caressed his brother’s forehead and tugged him with the blanket properly.. Tae pecked his brother’s forehead and left from there..

Tae then walked back in his quarters and towards his room.. He is definitely very tired but he doesn’t have the strength to face his new wife.. so he sighs, standing outside his bedroom and finally decides to walk at his study room and sleeps over there that night..

As I said.. I want a traditional vibe visible in this story.. so I found it ancient and vintage enough to use in the story.. and since kims are the masters and noble family.. the men of the house gathers and enjoys tea, smoke and chit chat.. other elders of the Euphoria sometimes also visit them..
