I Don't Know What To Do

I Don't Know What To Do

How I became an Orphan

I'm staring my day in the loud orphanage children older and younger than me. My name is Haru, I'm 10 years old and I was basically kick out from my home. Well it was more like I was an outcast from the family.

Mom said straight to my face I was a monster to them an let Dad beat me till I couldn't move. I never did anything to stop them, because I believed them. I don't know anything about my past just that they hated me.

But when I was in my room for a week without eating and no time in the sun, I came out and saw it. Both my Mom and Dad hung there in the living room, letting blood drop off their bodies. An that's how I ended up here.

Well the cops found me with others who knew my parents. They all said they wanted me dead or away from my mom and dad. No one took me in so I ended up at this crappy hell of an orphanage. It's comfortable in some ways, but it was turned into what other would call home.

"Haru", the caretaker called from the other room. "Coming", I shouted walking slow to her quarters with no emotions shown on my face. As I make my way down the hall kids younger pass by me, ignoring my presence pushing me to the floor.

"Damn brats", I mumbled to myself as I sat there waiting for the pain to stop. "Are you just going to sit here", a voice came filling my empty head. I look up seeing the caretaker with two kids older than me by her side.

"I'm sorry", I said quietly, I bet she heard me because she smiled. But in my mind anyone other than myself hate my guts. Enough that anyone could make me dissapear with their hateful gaze.

"Well let's head to the kitchen, I have a surprise for you", she said pulling me up softly. I didn't pull back but I still never trusted her, she never looks me straight in the eyes. Yes my eye color is different from other people I met.

That doesn't make you right for judging me before you met me. "We have special friends coming over and I bet they'll want to adopt you", she says as she walks over to boiling pots on the stove. "No one would want a kid like me", I said to myself and she turns the stove off and walks over to me.

"Well a special family would want a special kid", she says tapping my nose. I've noticed this before, when she says special alot. That means she's gotten into trouble and is now putting someone else to pay the price.

"Fine..", I said walking to the dining room with all of the other kids. I'll wait for them to come to me then just kick me out the next.
