Where's Rayna?

"Mommy, Mommy!"

The little tug on her fingers snapped Sienna out of her daze. She blinked and looked down to find Rayna and Rayden staring at her from either side, each wearing a different expression. One was suspicious. The other was simply curious.

In the driver's seat, Jovita kept the car moving through streets that were beginning to thicken with traffic. Her plan for the day was simple: take them out and help them get closer to Sienna.

"Mommy keeps spacing out. What are you thinking about?" Rayden asked, noticing the change in her face.

Jovita glanced through the rearview mirror and teased, "Sister-in-law, don't tell me you were actually forced to come out with us."

Sienna quickly shook her head, uneasy. "It's not like that. I'm happy to be with you. And... just call me Sienna, Jovita. That other title still feels too formal."

"Then call me Jovita too. No need for 'Miss.' We'll be family soon anyway. Right, Rayna?" Jovita winked at Rayna through the mirror.

"Vewy wight!" Rayna nodded three times with her usual innocent certainty. A second later, though, she frowned up at Sienna again.

"Mommy... do you need to pee? Is that why your face is all scwunched?"

The wild guess made Sienna laugh softly.

"No, sweetheart. Mommy was just thinking about work," Sienna said, making an excuse. She could not possibly tell them about the photo her mother had found yesterday, the photo that had been haunting her all morning.

"Work? Sienna needs a job?" Jovita jumped in eagerly. "Then work at my place!"

"What job, Aunty?" Rayna asked.

"I own a small salon. It's very close to my favorite ice cream shop. Want to stop there first?"

At the word ice cream, Rayna's eyes lit up like crystal lamps.

"Yes... yes... yes, Aunty! Let's go there first!" she urged, bouncing with excitement. Then she glanced at Rayden with a mischievous grin. "And we can cut Eden's hair too. He'd look so cool bald!"
