Chapter 21 - The Lion at Midnight

Chen Wei gave a small laugh. "Adrian Arcadia, the legendary Eagle, finally descends from his nest for a village girl. How touching."

Adrian did not sit. He stood in front of Chen Wei's table with both hands in his jacket pockets.

"You crossed a line, Chen. Our business disputes are one thing. Dragging my wife into your game will be the last mistake you ever make."

"A mistake?" Chen Wei raised an eyebrow. "I only want to give her presentation tomorrow a little surprise. Imagine her face when I play a video showing that her porter husband is actually the owner of the building where she's giving her speech. She will feel as if her entire life has been a lie, Adrian. She will hate you."

Adrian looked at Chen Wei with a gaze that made the Singaporean man slowly set down his glass.

There was something dangerous in Adrian's calm.

"Do you think I came here to beg?" Adrian asked coldly.

"I came to give you a choice. Tomorrow morning, you withdraw every claim you have over the Marina Bay land and leave Singapore within one hour after sunrise."

"Or what?" Chen Wei challenged, signaling his guards to move closer.

Adrian took a small device from his pocket, an encrypted signal transmitter.

"Or in the next ten seconds, my IT team releases documents on your illegal casino transactions in Macau to international tax authorities. I have also purchased all the debt from your failed construction company in Johor. You will be bankrupt, imprisoned, and forgotten by history before my wife wakes up for breakfast."
