Reyansh sat in his car, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. Through the windshield, he saw the image that broke him completely—Kavya and Advik sitting so close, whispering, and then… kissing.
His soul shook. Something inside him cracked so deeply that he couldn’t hold back anymore. With trembling hands, he started the car and drove aimlessly, not even knowing where he was going. His chest burned, and in a sudden burst of pain, he screamed loudly into the empty car. Tears spilled from his eyes, rolling uncontrollably as Kavya’s words echoed in his mind—every lie, every promise, every moment.
What was missing in my love? the question stabbed at him again and again.
Lost in the storm of heartbreak, Reyansh didn’t see the little animal that suddenly ran in front of his car. He slammed the brakes hard, the screech shaking him back to his senses. If the animal hadn’t appeared, he realized, his car would have gone straight off the cliff. His breath came heavy, his palms sweaty.
Shaken, he leaned back and checked his phone. The screen was full—hundreds of missed calls and messages. With trembling fingers, he opened one voice note.
It was Kunal’s voice, urgent and worried, "Reyansh, Kavya came home. She said she doesn’t love you, that she loves Advik and wants to marry him instead. She’s leaving with him. Where are you, my brother? Please… come back quickly."
The message ended, but Reyansh just sat there, frozen, his world collapsing into silence.
Reyansh finally turned his car around and drove back home. As he pushed open the gate, the first thing he saw made his heart stop—Kavya, standing near the entrance, ready to leave with her bags.
But what struck him the most was her face. There was no sadness, no pain, no hesitation. She looked calm, almost cold, as if nothing had ever mattered between them.
Reyansh, on the other hand, felt his knees weaken. It seemed like any moment he would collapse, but somehow, he gathered the strength to walk toward her. With trembling hands, he reached forward, about to hold hers.
But before he could, Kavya slipped her hand into Advik’s arm and said coldly, ‘Let’s go.’
Reyansh’s voice cracked as he asked, ‘Tell me, Kavya… what was missing in my love?’
Her reply fell like a dagger, shocking everyone present—even Advik. With a sharp, unapologetic tone, Kavya answered, "Money"
Silence swept through the house. Reyansh stood there shattered, while Advik’s face stiffened in disbelief. Still, Kavya held his arm tightly and walked out with him, leaving Reyansh broken behind.
As soon as Kavya left, Reyansh collapsed to the ground like a storm had struck him. His cries filled the air, loud and broken, his body shaking with grief. No one could bear to watch his condition.
Tripti and Kunal rushed to him, trying to calm him down, but Reyansh was out of control. In his rage and pain, he began throwing things around, shattering whatever came into his hands.
Just then, Harpreet’s cold voice cut through the chaos. ‘Well, what can I say? Your son turned out to be so weak. A girl left him, and he’s crying like this?’
Her words made Tara’s blood boil. Unable to hold back, she stepped forward and snapped, ‘Weak? Have you forgotten it’s your daughter who ran away? You should be ashamed of yourself! You should be apologizing to my son instead of mocking him!’
Harpreet smirked and replied, ‘And why should I apologize? My daughter has every right to choose her life. If she wants to be with someone else, so be it. Her happiness is my happiness.’
With that, Harpreet and Kuldeep turned their backs and walked away, leaving behind a storm of anger and broken hearts in the Kapoors.
