Heartbreak

Reyansh and Ruhi’s eyes met, and in that moment it felt as if two oceans had merged into one. Reyansh was lost in her innocent gaze, unable to look away. His heart wondered how someone could be so simple and yet so breathtakingly beautiful.

But just then, Tripti came. Her eyes immediately caught the quiet moment between them. She froze for a second, then quickly broke the silence. "Both of you, get up", she said firmly, pulling them back to reality.

Before the silence grew heavier, Ruhi quickly explained, "It wasn’t what it looked like… we both lost balance, that’s all. It wasn’t Reyansh’s fault".

Tripti gave a little laugh, shaking her head. "I know, I know… you don’t have to explain. I was only teasing".

But Reyansh said nothing. Without a word, he got up and walked out, his steps leading him toward the place where Kavya had gone.

Reyansh stepped outside and was shocked to see Kavya crying while Advik gently guided her into his car. Without wasting a moment, Reyansh rushed toward them, but by the time he reached, the car had already driven away.

He quickly got into his own car and followed. After a while, he saw them enter a restaurant. Reyansh parked and went inside, keeping a careful distance. His eyes fell on their table—and what he saw froze him. Kavya was leaning into Advik’s arms, hugging him tightly.

For a moment, Reyansh couldn’t believe his eyes. His heart sank, yet he couldn’t look away. The table where they sat was right beside a large window that opened into the outdoor seating. Reyansh quietly walked to one of the chairs outside, sitting just against the glass, watching and listening the two from the other side.

Inside the restaurant, Kavya held Advik’s hand and said with teary eyes, ‘"I don’t want to marry Reyansh I don't love him he is so annoying and too much irritating. I’m being forced into it because my family wants this, but I… I love you, Advik. I’ve loved you since childhood. Do you remember when you and Ruhi used to play together? I would just watch you from above, only you. Ruhi has said so many wrong things to everyone, but I always stood by you I was known you are comfortable with Ruhi only that's why I only forced her to play with you so that you can feel good."

(Her words sounded full of pain and love, but the truth was far different. Kavya never loved Advik. In reality, she had no feelings for him—she was only manipulating him. A few minutes ago, Advik had confessed to Kavya that he wanted to marry Ruhi. But Kavya could not tolerate the thought of Ruhi marrying a man wealthier and more successful than the one she was being tied to.)

Advik sat there, torn with regret. In his heart, he felt he had made a mistake—choosing Ruhi over someone as ‘good’ as Kavya. Now, he was convinced that he wanted only Kavya, and that she was the one he should marry.

But he had no idea that someone else had been listening all along. From the other side of the glass, Reyansh had heard every word. His world shattered. It felt as if the ground had slipped beneath his feet. He didn’t know what to do, where to go—it was as if his whole life had suddenly ended.

Just then, his phone buzzed. It was Kunal calling. Reyansh answered, but his voice failed him—he couldn’t speak. Kunal, assuming Reyansh and Kavya were together, simply said they both should come home. Hearing that, Reyansh’s chest tightened even more. Without a word, he cut the call, stood up slowly, and walked away, his steps heavy with pain.
