The first bell rang, echoing through the corridors of Seoul High. Students rushed inside, chattering and laughing, but one figure stood out as he walked through the main gate.
His oversized glasses slid slightly down the bridge of his nose, his shirt was buttoned to the very top, and his trousers looked one size too big. A plain backpack hung loosely from his shoulders. He kept his eyes low, footsteps quiet, as if trying to blend in with the crowd.
A whisper ran through the hall.
"Bet he won’t survive a week here.”
The laughter that followed didn’t seem to bother him.
But in Seoul High, blending in wasn’t that easy—especially with Jeon Jungkook around.
......“Yah, four-eyes!”.....
A voice called out, loud enough for everyone to turn.
Leaning casually against the lockers was Jungkook, the school’s notorious bully. His tie was loose, shirt untucked, and a smirk tugged at his lips. His friends hovered around him, ready for entertainment.
Jungkook pushed off the locker and strode over, blocking Taehyung’s way.

He gave a mocking once-over.

What’s with the glasses? Planning to start a science club?
His friends erupted in laughter.
Taehyung lifted his gaze slowly, meeting Jungkook’s eyes through the thick lenses. His expression stayed calm, unreadable.

I’m here to study
He said simply, his voice quiet but steady.
Jungkook blinked. Usually, kids stammered or bowed their heads when he cornered them. But this boy… he didn’t even flinch.
Clicking his tongue, Jungkook leaned closer.

. You’ll learn the rules fast. Around here, you listen to me. Got it?
For a fleeting moment, Taehyung’s lips curved into the faintest smile—so small, Jungkook almost thought he imagined it.

Yes… Jungkook-ssi,”
Jungkook froze for half a second. How did this nerd know his name already?
Before he could react, Taehyung slipped past him, heading toward his classroom.
His friends chuckled. “Yo, Kook, looks like the nerd’s got guts.”
Jungkook’s jaw tightened.

“We’ll see how long that lasts.”
As Taehyung took his seat by the window, he adjusted his glasses, his face calm. The morning sunlight caught in his eyes for just a second, making them glint with something unreadable.
For Jungkook, it was just another kid to mess with.
For Taehyung, it was just the beginning.
