Episode 4

The rain followed her home. Heavy. Relentless. It didn’t just soak her coat, it felt like it wanted to drown her whole skin. Elena walked fast into the lobby, heels clicking, too loud in the empty space. She kept her head straight, every step sharp, like she had control. Inside though—her chest was beating so damn fast it almost hurt...

She pressed the elevator button, praying for the doors to just open so she could breathe. The soft chime came. The doors slid apart.

And she froze

Lorenzo

He was leaning back against the mirror like he had been waiting hours, dark hair damp, drops of rain sliding down his jaw. His suit was messed up from the storm but still somehow perfect, like him. That smirk tugged at his lips the second he saw her.

“You’re late” he said, casual, like he owned her time. Her jaw tightened. “You’ve crossed the line”

He smirked wider, pushing off the wall, every step slow, deliberate. “There are no lines between us.”Her hand curled into a fist. “You’re wrong" Whatever this is—it ends here”

His eyes dragged over her, slow, almost lazy but sharp enough to cut. “Not a game, Elena. A chase. And you’re running.”

She met his eyes, voice steady but her pulse gave her away. “And maybe you should ask yourself why”

He laughed under his breath, leaning his head slightly, smirk never leaving. “Because you want me too much. And it kills you to admit it”

Her lips tightened. “Don’t flatter yourself.”

“Oh, I don’t have to.” He stepped closer, tilting his head, eyes locking on her face. “The way you fight me is proof enough.”

The elevator moved higher, humming. He raised one arm and pressed it against the wall by her face, close but not touching, caging her in. The scent of rain and his cologne wrapped around her until breathing felt like a risk.

“You disappear,” he murmured, voice lower now, eyes burning. “No one knows where. You guard something like your life depends on it. Tell me—what are you hiding?”

Her throat felt tight but she didn’t look away. “That is none of your concern.”

He smirked again, tilting closer, his breath brushing against her cheek. “Everything about you is my concern.”

“You don’t own me,” she whispered, eyes sharp. “You never will.”

He leaned just a little more, his voice dropping, almost touching her skin. “Don’t I already? Even your anger… it belongs to me.”

Her nails dug into her palm..“You’re delusional.”

“No” His eyes flicked down her face, studying her like she was already his. “I’m patient.”

The elevator dinged. The doors slid open.

Elena slipped out, fast, heels hitting the marble hard. She didn’t look back. She didn’t need to. She could feel his eyes on her, heavy, like a hand at the back of her neck.

Inside her apartment, she shut the door and leaned against it, chest rising and falling too quick. The silence wasn’t peace. It pressed in on her, thick, like he’d followed her right inside.

She dropped her wet coat onto the chair, pacing, fingers shaking as she pushed hair out of her face. Why him. Why tonight. Why always when she thought she finally had space.

Her phone buzzed on the counter. She didn’t touch it. She already knew the name lighting up the screen..

The storm outside cracked, thunder rolling, but it was nothing compared to the storm in her chest.

He was right—she was hiding something. Something no one could ever know. Least of all him. And the way he smirked at her tonight, like he already owned a piece of her secret… it terrified her!

Because storms like Lorenzo DeLuca didn’t fade. They waited. They circled. And when they hit—there was nothing left standing....
