1 . first day of work

Liza : ~ today was my first day work . Im just graduated from college, at twenty-one old, now im ready to face the world.

After weeks of searching, I had landed a job at Korea’s biggest company, a name that sparkled in the headlines and dominated every billboard in Seoul.ohh sorry I forgot to introduce my self my name is liza . Liza pollad.

Today was my first day.

I stood in front of the towering glass building, its reflecting the morning sun. The company’s logo shine like a crown above the entrance. I took a deep breath, smoothing the wrinkles in my blazer. My hands clutched my bag tightly for hiding the nervous in my fingers.

Inside, the lobby buzzed with activity. Men and women in sharp suits walked briskly, their polished shoes clicking against the marble floor. The scent of fresh coffee drifted from a café in the corner.

This is it, I thought. I’m really here.

At the reception desk, a polite woman greeted her and handed her an ID badge. “Welcome, Ms. Pollad,” she said with a smile. “The orientation is on the 15th floor.”

The doors slid open to reveal a modern, open-plan office filled with bright light and soft chatter. A young man in a navy suit approached me . “You must be Liza Pollad,” he said warmly. “I’m Daniel your team leader. Let me show you around.”

Daniel led me past rows of desks, introducing me to coworkers who smiled and welcomed me. My desk was near the window, offering a sweeping view of the city skyline. On my chair was a small bouquet of flowers with a note: Welcome to the team.

The morning passed quickly with orientation, paperwork, and a tour of the company’s facilities. By lunchtime, I found myself in the bustling cafeteria, balancing a tray of steaming sandwich and tea.and I saw Daniel and a few team members waved me over.

“Sit with us, Ms. Pollad,” Daniel said, pulling out a chair for me.

They chatted about office life, the company’s history, and the best coffee spots nearby. Then one of the women, Miya, leaned in and lowered her voice.

“So… have you heard about our CEO yet?”

I shook my head. “Not really. I mean, I know his name—Steave Morris, right?”

The table fell silent for a moment, as if even saying his name was risky.

Miya’s eyes widened. “You’re brave to say it out loud .today you are so lucky Liza that our boss takes a day off.”

Another coworker, Jino, gave a nervous chuckle. “He’s… not exactly the friendly type. People say he can fire someone with just one look.”

“That’s an exaggeration,” Daniel said with a faint smile, though his tone hinted he didn’t completely disagree. “But yes, he’s strict. Demands perfection. And you’ll almost never see him smile.”

“They also say,” Miya whispered, “that no one really knows anything about his private life. He just appears… and disappears. One moment he’s in his office, the next he’s gone. Even his personal assistant doesn’t know where he goes sometimes.”

Liza’s fork hovered in midair. “Sounds… intense.”

“You’ll understand when you meet him,” Jino muttered. “And you will meet him—eventually. Just pray it’s not because you made a mistake.”

The conversation shifted to lighter topics, but I couldn’t shake the feeling. I hadn’t even seen the man yet, and already the idea of crossing paths with Steave Morris sent a shiver down my spine.By the end of the day, my feet ached and my brain buzzed with new information. As I packed up, Daniel walked by and said, “Good work today, Ms. Pollad. I think you’re going to fit in here perfectly.” I politely thank him .

On the elevator ride down, my tiredness melted into a quiet happiness. My first day had been challenging, but it was also exciting—filled with possibilities I couldn’t yet imagine.
