Episode 5

..."Celestials and Descendants"...

Latona's POV

Upon seeing Juno, there were black spikes are pierced throughout her body. The blood coming out of her mouth was black.

Her body, lifeless on the ground.

Master Pierre rushed down from the Academy.

He showed intense fear at the unfolding scene. Residents of the Azure Society formed a circle around us.

"How did this happen?"

Master Pierre said in shock, he looked at me and noticed that the necklace was missing.

Immediately, he pulled Ceres away from me.

It is that moment again. They're treating me like a monster.

People around me, chattered. Intense emotions flowed out their mouths.

"Why is that monster here!?"

"Banish her from our lands!"

"She's dangerous!"

"I knew we shouldn't have kept her!"

Small children are crying while Master Pierre is doing his best to keep the situation calm.

Then he came.

He went through the crowd and saw her dead body.

"J-Juno..." Jupiter kneeled down and wailed.

It brings pain in my heart to see him cry like that.

"Who did... this.." Jupiter stood up slowly and clenched his fists.

He turned around and faced me.

I can feel anger, disappoinment and resentment, emitting from his eyes.

"You did this ..?"

"You... did this to Juno!?"

He shouted, walking closer to me.

I started weeping.

"I-I'm sorry, i-it was an-"

I tried to say that it wasn't intentional but he pushed me away.

Unbearable pain crept in my chest and I found my hands getting chained up by Master Pierre.

"I'm sorry, Latona." Master Pierre said and kept his distance from me.

People with the same robes as him came and dragged me with force.

"Wh-where are you taking me?" I politely asked but they did not respond.

We walked through the busy streets. People looked at me with a mix of angry and disgusted expressions.

I stared down, avoiding eye contact with them.

They brought me to the Temple of Azure.

It has an intimidating atmosphere.

We proceeded and entered a big hall.

Around me are people wearing blue robes with a table in front of them. There was a stage with a podium on the side.

The two men holding me made me sit on a red chair. I noticed Master Pierre sitting with the people around me.

A man, with a mix of blue and white robe stood behind the podium.

He cleared his throat and started talking.

"Greetings, members of Azure Council. Today we have gathered due to an incident outside Celestial Academy."

The people around me murmured quietly.

"Everyone, please silence." That man at the stage said then someone stood up.

"Grandmaster, I request to banish this crook. She took the life of the descendant, Juno."

Another man stood up and pulled up a scroll

"I believe we must execute her, according to our creed. 'One who thou kill a descendant must be executed or be thrown onto the wastelands. Where they must suffer until thy last breath'".

Hearing their statements, I felt scared.

"Am I done for?"

Then, Master Pierre stood up. I felt a slight relief

"Hold up, Master Marius. This person is a descendant. Our creed states that us Azure Celestials cannot execute a descendant!"

He said, raising his voice.

"She murdered a future queen!" That Marius person insisted.

"Silence!" A loud voice heard throughout the room.

"All of you please sit down" The Grandmaster commanded

"The convicted person. Latona, daughter of Phoebe and Polus. A descendant of Caelus."

"It is true that we cannot execute her, because of her divine blood. Therefore I conclude. Latona is banished from the Azure Society forever!"

The silent murmurs got louder.

He stood up again, Marius.

"Grandmaster, sh-she killed a future queen!"

"Why does he keep insisting that " I gritted my teeth.

"It wasn't intentional! I cannot even remember what I did !"

"I know this case is quite difficult Master Marius. Did you forget that we are only mere Celestials, descendants hold a higher power than us!"

"We must respect them or the divinities above will not bless our land!"

Marius didn't speak and that moment, a woman wearing the same robes came in.

She looked injured, blood all over her robes.

"Mistress Mirjam! What happened to you!?" The grandmaster came down the stage and immediately approached the injured mistress.

"Th... they're here." Her weakened voice said before passing out.

Masters and Mistress headed outside and the others went to treat her wounds, but Master Pierre approached me and unchained my hands.

"Latona, look at me."

I looked in his eyes.

"The Dark Order are here. We find Jupiter and Ceres then you three head East. You should reach the Crimson Society." He said it quietly to avoid the attention of the other members.

"You must master Light Magic Latona, to counter the Dark Order"

I nodded and he grabbed my arm heading to the back exit.

"Master Pierre." As we're about to leave, I pulled him to stop.

"Latona, there's no time!"

He's really in a rush.

"I need the Chalcedony, otherwise the darkness might consume me again." I explained.

"I don't have it!" He said with an annoyed expression and immediately thought of something.

He pulled my uniform's necktie and wrapped it around my eyes.

"This shall prevent you from seeing the situation outside"

He placed his hand on my head and didn't remove it.

We headed outside and heard screams, cries similar to the ones I experienced with my mother.

"The darkness you emitted must have attracted them!" Master Pierre said.

Running around, I felt Master Pierre avoiding the attacks of the Dark Order. There were also times that he has to fight the ones that get too close.

A lot of time passed by and I heard Ceres' voice.

"Master Pierre! It's a relief to see you! The Dark Order are attacking the Academy!"

"They took Juno's body!"

She screamed.

Master Pierre clicked his tongue.

"Where are the students!? And where is Jupiter!?" Master Pierre asked.

"Jupiter is at the academy! He's fending off the Dark Order with the students!" Ceres responded.

"Ceres, head East with Latona. I'll tell your brother to head there too!" Master Pierre said and I heard him rush upstairs leaving me with Ceres.

"Ceres is Jupiter's sister ?" I thought, but now's not that the time!

"Don't worry Latona, I won't let ourselves get caught by them" Ceres said and guided me.

I feel the exhaustion from running around the city. Ceres didn't give up, although I was being a burden to her.

"There it is! We're almost through the exit Latona!" She said, and almost carried me through the exit.

She stopped. I felt a burst of tension and nervousness throughout my body.

"Wh-what's wrong Ceres?" I asked her.

"M-Mrs. Phoebe?"
