Episode 04
The rain had softened to a drizzle, but Taehyung’s clothes clung to his skin, heavy and cold, as he trudged down the familiar streets toward the apartment he shared with Minseok.
The pregnancy center’s test results were tucked inside his jacket, the paper crinkling with every step.
His heart felt like it was caught in a vise.. part of him wanted to run to Minseok, to share the news, to see his face light up.
But another part, quieter and sharper, whispered doubts.
Minseok’s late nights, his clipped texts, the way he’d been dodging Taehyung’s eyes lately.
Taehyung shook his head, pushing the thoughts away.
He’s just stressed, he told himself.
He’ll be happy.. He has to be..
The streetlights flickered on, casting a dim glow over the cracked sidewalk.
Taehyung’s sneakers splashed through shallow puddles, his breath hitching as he wiped his damp face.
The tears had started back at the clinic, silent and unstoppable, and now they mixed with the rain.
He was going to be a mother.
The thought made his chest ache with something soft and fierce.
He’d do this right, even if it scared him senseless.
The apartment building loomed ahead, its faded brick facade looking more tired than usual.
Taehyung climbed the stairs to the third floor, his legs heavy.
He paused outside their door, key in hand, and took a deep breath.
The faint sound of music leaked through the wall.. something upbeat, out of place with the storm in his heart. He turned the key and stepped inside.
The living room was dimly lit, the TV casting shadows across the worn couch.
Minseok sat there, his phone in hand, scrolling lazily. He didn’t look up as Taehyung shut the door.
Kim Taehyung
Hey.. (he said, his voice small)
He slipped off his wet shoes, setting them by the door.
Kim Taehyung
You’re home..
Lee Minseok (Tae’s BF)
(Minseok grunted, eyes still on his phone)
Lee Minseok (Tae’s BF)
Yeah. Got off early.
Kim Taehyung
(Taehyung’s fingers tightened around the test results in his pocket)
He crossed the room, his socks leaving faint damp prints on the floor.
Kim Taehyung
Can we talk? It’s… kind of important.
Lee Minseok (Tae’s BF)
(Minseok finally glanced up, his brow furrowing)

What’s with you? You’re soaked..
His tone wasn’t warm, but it wasn’t cold either.. just tired, like Taehyung was an inconvenience.
