Taehyung's POV:
I rode my motorcycle with my uncle who looked like he knew the end of the world was imminent. Suddenly he called me to pick him up, and he didn't speak, he didn't ask anything and he didn't answer, he just told me to take him home.
"Get off first." I said in a calm voice. It had been easy for him to follow me before he frowned as I turned the key, turned off the engine, and slowly pushed the bike into an empty yard. Then I started toward a wall I intended to climb over.
"What the hell are you doing?" my uncle asked in confusion before walking over and grabbing him.
"Shût up... hurry up and come up quickly." Uncle Wookshik looked at me puzzled, but I still pushed myself up to the edge of the wall. Then I jumped to the other side as quietly as I could.
"Why do you want to climb into your own house?!" Uncle Wooshik snorted softly and I motioned for him to step off the edge of the wall. I looked left and then right several times before opening the back door and making minimal noise to step inside.
"Whoa! I'll live another day." I let out a deep sigh. Before hastily shouting at uncle who was about to flick the switch: "Don't turn on the light!"
"What's your problem?" Oh, maybe he didn't understand. I walked over with the lighter in my hand so I could light half the candles I'd used last night.
"You don't have to ask for much..." I thought again. Uncle's face was even more confused as I took the fan out of the drawer. "We only use the fan, don't turn on the air conditioner!"
"Huh? Aren't you paying for electricity?" Uncle confusedly picked up the fan before I approached the door, opening the curtains slightly. I saw two men in black sitting on a motorcycle, looking into my house.
B@st@rd, how long will he follow me? It's been two days. He even sent people to look for me at the pub. Now even at home, he's stalking me!
I took a long leave from work with Lalisa, she said someone was asking for a certain Baekhyun every night, which sent tingles up my spine. Also, Lalisa had tried to warn me...
'What's the matter with Mr. Jungkook? Hurry up and apologize to him. He's not a ordinary person.'
I had never had such fear in my heart but it was starting to show. Those people were looking for me everywhere with the name of Baek and Jungkook insisted on hunting me, he didn't want to let me go easily.
"What did you do to get involved with the Mafia, Taehyung?" Uncle asked me, looking through the curtains.
"... emh ah, what's going on?" I tried to act indifferent, I didn't dare say that I had extorted a watch from the guy I had discovered was a mafias.
"..." Uncle sat down on the old sofa and sighed.
"Are you back?" Sunoo asked, wearing a tank top and shorts and looking visibly sweaty.
"Oh, are you back too?" Uncle waved at him.
"Yeah... hey. Tonight, I'm going to sleep at my friend's house." Sunoo said to uncle, before turning to look at me.
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't want to be in a house where they can't turn on the air conditioning, I can't turn on the stove and I can only charge my phone. You're crazy! Really, I would like to know if you have any problems with someone ..."
"Fine, then light whatever you want!" I cûrsed at my brother until I saw him desist.
"It doesn't matter." He rolled his eyes and went upstairs.
"Taehyung! You don't owe anyone money on a bet, do you?" Uncle reopened the question.
"No! No... nothing. Oh, what's the matter?" I replied in a deep tone, watching him sit there with a confused expression on his face.
"It's me... I... I owe money." I was tired of hearing the same stories. He got into debt at least ten times a year, I was used to hearing that.
"No gold. My mother sold it to her uncle to pay off the debt." I said in a calm voice, as I went to get some water from the kitchen.
"But you can't help me this time. I don't know what to do!" Uncle said almost groaning.
"How much is it?" I asked.
"..." He looked embarrassed before saying in a small voice, "Five million!"
Suddenly my hair stood on end and I nearly choked from the shock. "WHAT!!!???"
"This time it's not the same amount as before. It's going to k!ll me. You have to help me." He said in frustration.
"You're crazy! Where the fûck am I going to get five million?" I said it honestly. Before, I just had a few problems, they were difficult to solve but I had never backed down or been scared. How the hell was I going to do it this time?
"I don't know. I really don't know. You have to help me." Uncle Wooshik barely sat up on the couch until he said something, making me think, "D@mn! There's already a mortgage on the house that I haven't paid!"
"Eh, mortgage the house?" Uncle's house had been taken by the bank, hadn't it? He ate and slept in the casino, he was coming to live in my house, basically.
"Home? Don't tell me, this house." I asked back in wonder with a strange feeling in my mind. While Uncle looked at me with remorse.
"Uh... sorry. But I really didn't know what to do." My eyes widened, I could barely believe what came out of his mouth.
"You... don't tell me that..."
I approached him to ask what he had done in the hope that it wasn't what I thought.
"Yes! I mortgaged this house to pay my debts! If you don't pay within three days, they will confiscate it!"
I clenched my fists, I couldn't even hear the end of his sentence. This was my parents' house and our last treasure. So why did he do it? I quickly regained consciousness and walked over to the drawer before opening it, looking for the empty documents.
I turned to look at Uncle with furious eyes, I was on the verge of exploding. I was twenty now and that house was supposed to be my property. Uncle was the custodian of all our family's assets because I was a minor, he had sold everything, he had promised that he would never touch the house and would leave it to me and Sunoo. But what was that he was saying?
"Why are you doing this to me?" A crack voice. I want to cry out loud and hurt him badly.
"I'm sorry..." He said in a soft voice. I was losing my mind, I wanted to get closer to headbutt him in the hope he would come to his senses. All this time, I had been left with him as my only relative, I was supposed to be dependent on him but he had caused me problems every single day of my life.
"Three days..." I said in a calm voice, repeating the words of my old uncle who said that the house would be mine for only three more days.
In three days I had to raise money to pay off his debt and buy back my house. It was more than five million.
Suddenly a loud noise startled me, I turned my head suddenly and noticed that the front door had been thrown open. My eyes widened suddenly as a man in black made his way in.
"Sh!t!" I exclaimed and behind the man in black I saw a familiar figure in elegant clothing. He had such a powerful and important presence that I couldn't behave.
"Jeon Jungkook!" Uncle shouted before quickly getting up from the couch, looking at the newcomer in shock, as shocked as I was that the person I was trying to run away from was right in front of me. With all the problems I had, I had started off on the wrong foot with this one.
"How did you get into my house?!" I said in a harsh voice, staring at him intently.
"What... in three days it will be my home." Jungkook said smiling. I looked at uncle who stared back at me, nodding in response.
Don't tell me that the one I owe debts to is this @sshøle!
"What's this commotion?" he asked as he came down the stairs and frowned when he saw the mysterious man from last time in our living room.
"What the hēll!!" my brother shouted in shock.
"...go back to your room!" I turned to say, my voice hollow. I wasn't ready for him to know anything at that moment.
"Why, what's happening?" As for me, I was staring at Jungkook's face as he stood there with his hand in his pocket and looked at us calmly.
"Go up!!" I shouted loudly. He gave me a hesitant look.
"Hey, everything's going to be okay, right?"
"Go up first, I'm fine..." I turned my head to look at my brother before he slowly climbed the stairs. I waited until I heard the door close upstairs and then looked back at the b@st@rd's face.
"Uh... it's..." Uncle's voice broke the awkward atmosphere. I had to admit that all the shocking events in my life flashed before my eyes until I felt confused. "Mr. Jeon Jungkook, how did you get here?"
"Why can't I come? This place is half mine, isn't it?"
"Uh... can I have a little more time?" Uncle asked calmly.
"Three days." Jungkook replied almost immediately, his voice calm.
"Five million, if we include the reimbursement of the land deed, becomes six million."
My heart sank as he spoke like that. I wanted to lunge at him and smash his face in, but my legs were hard to move.
"But Jungkook ..." Before I could speak, a heavy hand rose and forbade me to do so.
"But I have an offer..." He said in the same calm voice. Uncle's hopeful eyes were directed at him.
"Things? I'm ready for anything, just give me a chance." Uncle said.
"You! Come work with me."
He pointed a finger at me. I was even more confused than before. Work? What work?
"And I will increase the time to repay the debt by two years." His eyes were calm, hard to read, and they stared at me relentlessly.
"Work?" Uncle asked.
"Become my bodyguard, then I'll tell my father about the debt." I took a deep breath before the sequence of events and smirked.
"Huh! Who are you? Someone so important that you need bodyguards?" I asked. Was he a retarded person who couldn't take care of himself? What the fûck kind of bodyguards did he need? Had I stepped into the movie:
The Godfather of bunnies?!
"Stop talking!" Uncle shouted at me.
"Why? You brought this problem on yourself, why should I get caught up in it?"
I said angrily, wanting to sever my kinship with Uncle. Why had all this suddenly happened to me?
My house will be confiscated and I will have to work with this Jungkook? What is this about?!
"Then you can say goodbye to this house."
"This is my parents' house!" I clenched my jaw and clenched my fists, felt a shudder and prepared to lunge at Jungkook, but two of his subordinates bēat me to it and so I stopped. I glared at him.
"But now it will be my father's!" He replied, provoking me and raising a slight smile.
"You're fûcking @sshøle!" His attitude was electrifying until I felt my patience wearing thin.
"Stop it. If you want this house, just accept the offer for him." Uncle.
"But I didn't create this problem!!! And I'm not going to work there! "
"Why are you afraid?" Jungkook
"Eh... are you an id!øt? Who would want to take that risk?"
You look like a guy who opens and runs a casino and has bodyguards. Instead you go hunting for debtors with these guys in black, right? And if I come to work for you, what will I do? Why would I do something so risky?
What I just vømited was probably the longest sentence of the year. I didn't want to interfere with anything like that.
It wasn't worth it and I was mostly worried about my younger brother. If I chose to go down that path I definitely wouldn't give him a happy life.
"You have three days to find the money. If you can't, you have to leave." He kept threatening me, he wouldn't give up.
"Fûck yoû!" I exploded in anger and rushed back to the Jungkook, even though I knew I couldn't reach him because four of his men were shielding him, keeping me away. "Still, I'll take back my home!" I shouted aloud.
"Stop it!" Uncle tried to stop me "Stop it!" and pushed me, perhaps until I hit the wall.
I shouted angrily at Uncle Wookshik, I condemned him incessantly in my mind. My heart was filled with feelings of regret, anger, helplessness and without giving up I tried to pull myself together and regain my sanity so that I could find a way to get my home back.
"..." Silence took over. All eyes turned to me before I spoke in a deep voice. "If I get my house back, how much do I have to pay?"
"How much?" Jungkook turned to ask his subordinate.
"A million."
"You can't leave me with debts! Three days without me and you'd d!e... go work with him!"
"I don't care! I'll just take back the house." I said in a harsh voice to Uncle.
"So where are you going to get the money?"
"I have a job, I'll ask for time and get my house back."
"Anyway ..."
"What about me? What about my debt?" Uncle's voice rang out, before he rushed over and grabbed my arm, trying to shake me. "You think that's cool? You'll never make a million that fast. At least he's working with him, he's got money, you have time to get your house back."
"I don't want to get involved! I don't like it! I'm worried about my brother!" I shouted loudly before sighing deeply. I walked past Uncle and approached Jungkook again. His subordinates stepped in front of me and then I stopped. I gathered all the last words I had before I spoke.
"I'll definitely need time to work and save money this year. But I'll get my house back."
"How will you live all this time?" Uncle asked almost desperately.
"I can survive!" I tilted my head to answer Uncle, who seemed to have lost his mind. I had decided that I would work to save money and buy out my house and in the meantime I would rent with Sunoo. I had enough money to save myself that way.
"It's up to you, but the five million debt must be paid off within three days." Jungkook smiled before leaving the house.
As soon as the man in black disappeared, the things in the house were thrown to the floor by uncle, out of control.
"What the hell are you doing? You know, I won't be able to pay back all that money in three days and they'll k!ll me!"
"Oh, why should I be worried? You handle it yourself! How I love my life, how I love it!!" I screamed even louder than he did.
"If I d!e, it's your fault!"
"And my life is worthless? How selfish of you! My parents' treasures are gone and to get my house back I have to get into a new debt! Why? My life is so worthless in your eyes?!" I was still standing as I argued with him, his furious eyes still looking at me nonstop. I had never been so angry and disappointed with him when he lost our family's other treasures in the past years.
But the house was my parents' last treasure! In the end this deserved to be mine and instead it disappeared in the blink of an eye!
"You can cûrse me for being selfish but damn it! Have you no altruism in wanting to save your father's brother? You wanted to keep this house all by yourself even though I supported you for years. Don't you remember when you were in high school? Who paid for it until the end?" Uncle's boast about what he had done for me made me clench my fists. Even though uncle had a gambling habit, he had always been very good to me.
I was shaking, thinking about what my uncle had said.
Was I giving up? Was I willing to protect him to start a job that seemed dishonest? Could I manage to not care to protect my brother while another relative of mine went to his dē@th? Or maybe I should...
"Don't do it.. hy... Hyung, don't do it." I looked up when I heard a voice. Sunoo, who was crying at the bottom of the stairs, threw herself on top of me and hugged me tightly.
When I saw my brother's face, my heart tightened, almost unable to contain my inner weakness. I pressed my lips together, trapping my thoughts deep inside. I raised my hand slightly and stroked my brother's head. He had probably been eavesdropping and knew it.
«...»
"Please don't go work for him. And who will I live with if you accept?" He said with a trembling voice. That was the only and main reason why I would not give up my life easily. I would never leave my little brother alone on this earth, because he had already been alone enough.
I did all this to protect him because I loved him more than my own life.
«...»
"We may not have this house anymore, but we can live anywhere. But please, don't leave me." He hugged me tighter as if she was afraid I might disappear.
"I know .."
"Huh!!! Listen to me, hey, it's not easy. When you were in high school, you often bēat up other people and you didn't d!e. Come on, what's different now?" Uncle said.
I no longer wanted to think that this man was my relative.
I no longer want to count my relatives with this person.
My eyes looked at him in disbelief, I did not understand how he was my father's brother. I remember the day Jungkook was chased by those armed people, it was certainly not my place to interfere.
You can beat and hit anyone until you're satisfied, but risk your life?
And risk the life of the only person I love? I can't do it!
Sunoo and I took some things and left that house. I couldn't stay under the same roof as that b@st@rd that night. Uncle continued to rage, he didn't stop talking, trying to convince me to take the job. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to hold back and beat him up.
"Drink the water first, you ..." Junmyeon handed me a glass of water, the two people sitting in front of me were stressed, located in the center of the room they were not speaking.
"Thank you."
"What's going on?"
"Sorry to bother you..." I said, my gaze looking out the balcony until I could focus my vision.
"Why would you bother me? You've been my friend forever... can I do something?" I turned to look into the eyes of my friend who was looking at me with a faint smile, holding my shoulder encouraging me to speak.
"My house was mortgaged."
"What! What's going on?" He asked with a shocked expression in a low voice.
"Uncle lost a bet." I almost didn't want to name or think about that person.
"Fûck..." my friend couldn't believe it. But Junmyeon knew my whole life so I didn't have to explain anything else.
"How did that accident end?"
«...»
"So what are you going to do?" I shook my head instead of answering. I wouldn't be able to get the house back in time, and I didn't know what to do from now on.
"I'm only bothering you for tonight. Tomorrow I'm going to a friend's house."
"Actually, you can stay here. We can all stay together," Junmyeon said in a stressed voice. "Even though it might be cramped, you can stay as long as you can."
"Thanks, but tomorrow I'm going to my other friend's...that's fine..."
"I've already told him about finding a room. I'll find one as soon as possible, but in the meantime..."
"Don't talk like you're bothering me! I told you, you can stay here with me. I'm ready to help you, Taehyung."
How bad was my life? Despite everything, I still had good people around me.
"Thank you so much..." I said in a calm voice.
"And you called to tell Baekhyun?"
"At first I wanted to go to his house but he didn't answer me and I doubt he fell asleep."
"He didn't answer me either. Maybe he's with a woman?"
Junmyeon then turned around, went to turn on the TV, and looked for something to eat for us. "Do you want to take a shower? Tonight you two can sleep in the bed, I'll sleep on the couch."
"Why do I have to bother you so much? You sleep in bed with Sunoo, I'll take the couch." I said and they both nodded.
I was really tired. Between problems at work and my house not existing anymore, my life was really bad.
In any case, the next day I would have had to hurry back to work as usual but earn the money to buy back my house.
The next day...
"Fûck! What the hēll is he doing?" Tem cursed as he repeatedly pressed Baekhyun's number.
Junmyeon had been trying to call him all day but since yesterday no one had been able to reach him. Even when we finished studying in the afternoon, there was still no sign of Baekhyun and if he was sick or not coming to class he could at least write it on our LINE group. Without receiving any response we decided to ignore it, knowing that he would show up whenever he wanted.
So I went back to the dorm with Junmyeon, while I was browsing the ads online to try to find a cheap room to move into with Sunoo. I picked a few places that seemed nice and affordable, before getting ready to go to work at Lalisa's place.
"No again, FÛCK!"
As soon as the bike's kickstand hit the ground, the familiar, fragile sound of Lalisa's voice boomed so loudly that I quickly turned in shock. I hurried into the room and everyone turned to look at me.
"Lisa"!! What happened?" I shouted out loud. I looked at the shop that was in a disastrous condition, as if a war had just happened. Tables and chairs were on the floor, there were shards of glass and bottles scattered on the floor. I looked at the figure of Lalisa, sitting on the floor, she was visibly desperate as she moaned.
"Taehyung! We have something to talk about!" She shouted back in a harsh voice, and I was surprised.
Usually Lalisa's voice was softer, sound like a cute girl, but now it sounded like a angry man. He walked over to me and dragged me into the office.
Lord, what will he do to me this time??
"Ahh! I'm going crazy now!" Lalisa banged her head against the wall as she screamed so loudly I had to cover my ears.
"But... what happened?"
"Who did you have trouble with and what did you do?"
Lalisa had never spoken to me like that before, but in that moment, she surprised me.
"Who do I have a problem with?" I asked, trying to figure out what else was going on. There was nothing else but the house now. Lalisa looked at me in silence before letting go of tears.
"Huh... You told me you had no other problems!" Her voice trembled as she wiped away her tears with a yellow handkerchief embroidered her name.
"What have i done?!"
"What's the matter with Mr. Jeon?!" I was even more surprised when I heard that name. The only relationship I had with Jungkook was about the house because the five million debt wasn't mine. Yesterday he seemed willing to wait for the house, as if he wanted to talk about it and his face showed no concern. I hadn't even worried about the watch issue anymore.
«...»
"When I opened the place today, Master Jeon's subordinates came to ask if Taehyung still worked here."
He knows
"And I said yes. Suddenly they started destroying everything for the second time! The shop is a mess. Sh!t Taehyung!! What have you done this time?" After the first two sentences she started speaking in a harsh voice again, just like before. The last sentence made me unable to regulate my mood, Lalisa was acting crazy.
"I didn't do anything!" I said again.
"So what? They say that if I don't fire you they'll come every day to destroy my place!"
Sh!t! What the fuck is going on?
I was surprised by what was happening.
"Wait, Lalisa. What is this?" I, who rarely showed emotion, now had tears in my eyes, my face pleading with her.
"I have to ask you a favor for this... but..."
"I'm sorry Taehyung, but can you leave the club for me?" Her face wasn't as angry as before, but it turned into agitation.
"I can't. Please, you can't kick me out." Absolutely not. Where else could I get money to buy my house back?
Fûcking bunny jeon! Why are you doing this to me?!!
"But I can't fix the club anymore..." A small drop of tears ran down her face.
"But Lalisa, you can't fire me. Where else can I get money?" I asked honestly, my voice soft as a whisper.
"I too have financial problems, I don't know where to find the money to repair the damage to the premises."
I looked out through the glass and saw the total chaos the club was in, as well as some of the staff who had scared faces, probably thinking they were not safe.
"This time I didn't do anything at all." She lets out a deep sigh. Even though I was sure I hadn't done anything wrong to Jungkook, when I looked at Lalisa's face, I still blamed myself for what had happened.
"Taehyung, ... please leave."
"..." I looked at Lalisa's face. At that very moment I felt so damn sad. So many annoying things had happened to me in the last two days and at that moment I felt like zero, I didn't know how to deal with those emotions.
"Don't look at me like that. I really love you but now we both have to love ourselves..."
I had it all figured out and I was also the cause of the continued destruction of Lalisa's place, I couldn't blame her for choosing to fire me.
"Is there anything you need? I'm ready to help you with anything except money, because I really can't do it right now!"
"...So Lalisa, can you help me get a job at P'Q's store?"
"The shop in the alley next door?"
"Yes, can I get to work right away? I really need the money."
"Are you sure they won't follow you and destroy that store too?" Lalisa asked and I told her I wasn't sure and I didn't know. I started rubbing my temple gently trying to think of something to get out of this.
"Okay, hold on a minute." Lalisa pressed a number on her phone before she went out to talk. I knew how angry she was, and yet she was helping me look for a new job. It reminded me that she still loved me.
"Okay... come on, you start work tonight." Lalisa came back with the details. Lalisa told me that P'Q was going to be closing the shop for a long time so I asked her if she could help me get a job at her friends' place in the meantime.
"So... before I go, do you want me to do something?"
"No need. You better go, Q is waiting." I nodded and walked out of the club to head to the new place.
\[Lalisa: I hope you have better luck than me, Q.\]
I couldn't wait for the time to pass, because I had to hurry to get to work and earn some money. My burden was too heavy to sit still. I thought the whole thing might be a misunderstanding. The person who went to Jade was probably the same mobster, maybe they were still angry and were chasing me.
The first night I spent at P'Q's store was normal and happy, I was secretly stuck with more customers than when I worked with Lalisa and I was more tired than usual. I really had to get used to and adapt, learning that job and becoming a new employee was not easy for me.
It was never easy for me. What was happening to me now was my fault. I couldn't blame the heavens or the earth.
Once at Junmyeon's house, I punched in the door code to enter the room, but my eyes met the figures next door, so I punched in the wrong code.
"What are you looking at?" The man turned to look at me with a sharp look. I didn't want to look but when the man turned to go back inside I saw what they were 'playing' in the next room.
Hey, I wasn't blind. I saw with my own eyes what they were doing.
"Fûck you!" I muttered, looking at him fearlessly. He looked back at me before the woman grabbed her husband and carried him back into the house.
What had I done? I was doing nothing.
I dialed the code to enter my friend's room, entered Junmyeon's room dēad tired and immediately rushed to take a shower. I did everything in silence because my friend was already asleep. When I finished washing myself, I returned to the room and found Junmyeon standing, staring at the bedroom wall with an annoyed expression.
"Did I wake you?" I asked my friend.
"Damn! The couple in the next room is doing it!" Junmyeon said, his face turned toward the white wall. I frowned and focused on listening for male and female voices through the walls. It was the couple I had met earlier.
"Hayss!! Can't you shut up? We can't sleep here!"
I felt uncomfortable and screamed loudly hitting the wall.
But the voice sounded louder than before, louder and louder and it seemed like they were doing unexpected things.
"Fuck, Earth!!! Take it easy!"
"I am sorry!"
Then I was shocked when a voice answered Junmyeon who moved away from the wall, but his face was still as frustrated as before. I, who was standing and watching, noticed my friend's behavior and remembered what he had said to me.
"Is that what you meant when you said the woman's voice is always so loud and you can't sleep?" In the past he said the room was so loud it made it hard for him to sleep and he wanted to change that.
"Yes! But not just women, several times he brought a man!" He walked over to get the water and poured it into a glass, then drank it all. Before speaking: "More importantly, that sh!t is my neighbor! I hate him!
When he emphasized the sentence by looking at the wall and raising his middle finger towards it.
I noticed that my friends now seemed frustrated with another problem. So, I invited him to go on church. To think positively and freshen your mind. And God give me a sign to how to pass my problem.
Morning.
In the Car
"Should I move into the same dorm as you?" Asked to Junmyeon
Normally I didn't believe the god, but from past events I really had no spiritual defenses, so I wanted to get closer to the God to not to become a demon person.
"If you're annoyed... you can play a song." Junmyeon said.
"I'm not an easy sleeper. I have trouble sleeping. If there's even a little noise, I can't fall asleep."
I continued to chat with my friend who took the exit from the highway and then looked for a nearby sanctuary. We continued to drive until we were almost past the university when suddenly, Junmyeon's cell phone rang.
"Ooohhh.... someone is calling." The screen displayed Baekhyun's name. He pressed the button to answer the call and turned on the speaker. "Hey, do you still remember that you have friends..."
[You ... he... help me.]
His voice was weak and barely audible, Junmyeon suddenly braked. I was quite surprised to hear Baekhyun's voice.
"Why?! What happened to you?" My concern increased and I asked with pain in my voice.
[Help me... behind the coffee.]
Junmyeon quickly turned the car in the direction Baekhyun had mentioned. I had a strange feeling, as if it was something related to me.
Was I the one causing all this?
"Tell me straight. Where are you?" Junmyeon and I looked down the side of the road and saw something beside the traffic. Junmyeon immediately flicked his headlights on and off, parked the car, and quickly got out.
"Fûck, Baekhyun!"
Junmyeon and I screamed in surprise. The people in the area helped us clear a path for us to pass, we saw a boy sitting on the ground against a lamppost in very poor condition, his face covered in bruises and shoe marks all over his shirt.
"You're here." Baekhyun exclaimed, seeing me he smiled even though his eyes were swollen and closed on one side and hugged me tightly.
"What happened?" I asked. My voice nearly broke.
"I don't know. When I was walking to buy meatballs, several motorbikes approached me... then they asked me if I was Baek, a second-year sports student or not. When I said yes, ... he said Jeon Jungkook had a gift for me. Then they bēat me... and put me in a van. As soon as I stood up, they bēat me again."
His voice was hoarse, as if he was running out of breath.
He paused frequently and although he wasn't blēēding he was so bruised I could barely touch him.
The fact that Jungkook had forced Lalisa to fire me and had terrorized my friend made me realize that he was suffocating me, oppressing those around me to make his wish come true. I quickly dialed the number he had called yesterday. The one whose final numbers I remembered so well. I waited a few rings and then after I answered, I heard a cold laugh from the other end of the phone.
[HAHAHA. You finally got back to me.]
"What did you do to my friend?!" I yelled at the man on the other end of the line.
[What the hell... I didn't do anything to your friend.]
"What the hell do you mean you didn't do anything? If it weren't for you, there would be no way my friend would get bēaten like this!"
[Oh! I wanted to teach you a lesson, but my men misidentified the person.] The sound of loud laughter came from the phone's earpiece.
"Damn! My name is Taehyung! D@mn! What are you trying to do?"
[Yes, you're Kim Taehyung, What a beautiful name. So it's true that my men bēat up the wrong person hehehe.]
I nearly threw the phone down when I heard him laugh again.
"If you're going to bother me, what do you want?"
[...work for me!]
"I won't do it."
I focused on his voice again.
[So, your brother's name is Sunoo, exactly...]
When I heard him say my brother's name, my patience quickly disappeared.
"Don't you dare touch my brother!"
[Ummm, Kim Sunoo school is near my house.]
"You fûcking b@st@rd Jungkook! How did you know?"
[Money have many ways. Come visit me...]
I immediately hung up and a text came in with an address that had been sent to my cell phone. I clenched my jaw in anger. He had deliberately forced Lalisa to fire me, so I had no job. He had deliberately hurt the people around me to back me into a corner until I could find a way out. He had literally done everything just because he wanted me to work for him! FÛCKING HĒLL YOU!!!
