📜 IV. Stress.

The Orchid manor was blooming along with the Nocturnal Blossoms, It was the full moon night. The time when the moon chatted with its fellow flowers and everybody else long-lost in dreams to witness the conversation exchanged. But maybe it wasn't the complete truth. The whole manor was shimmering leaving the guarding posts and...the study room of the young lord. Whose location wasn't known to many. The palace was filled with many secret passages as well as rooms like that. One wall of the young lord's room was decorated with lot many of books. Taehyung loved reading books, it helped him to pass time as well as in gaining knowledge. But nobody could tell that by pulling a certain diary situated in the slab, a secret door opens which leads to the study of the said lord. Inside the study, Taehyung was very well focused and was writing down a few things in his diary and of course it was related to his parents mysterious death. After today's meeting with council members, Taehyung noticed them all and out of them many didn't looked genuine to him. One thing was sure, it was the doing of someone close. He wrote several names in his diary including that of Hoseok, Namjoon and Kim Seokjin, the chief adviser's husband, his brother-in-law. Nobody could be trusted in this situation. His train of thoughts came to a halt when he sensed a familiar presence behind his back. Sensing the tension behind the footsteps of the intruder, Taehyung chooses to speak up.

Kim Taehyung

Is there something I should be worried about Hopi Hyung?

Jung Hoseok

Not really. (Stands beside where Taehyung is sitting, hands folded behind his back)

Kim Taehyung

Then what is it? You don't always barge into my room like an intruder. (Closes the diary and locks it inside the wooden drawer)

Jung Hoseok

The thing is, the messenger already left with the envelope you wanted to forward, this afternoon.

Kim Taehyung

And you're here to tell me that? (finally looks at Hopi with questioning gaze)

Jung Hoseok

The ships are all loaded and are ready to sail in case-

Kim Taehyung

I thought I fixed the date of next week, Hopi Hyung. Please be clear with your words.

Jung Hoseok

I mean according to the royal fortune-teller and the most experienced sailors, The ship won't be able to sail next week due to the storm which would be active and will last long.

Jung Hoseok

If you really want to go to the North, we would have to go tomorrow or else the date would be postponed to the next month.

Kim Taehyung

So be it, we are leaving for the North tomorrow only. Order the maids to prepare my stuff.

Jung Hoseok

But Taehyung I don't think it would be wise, North is way too far and what if-

Kim Taehyung

Hyung, these words don't suit your mouth. I am clear with my words. Namjoon Hyung already agreed to take my position for a while and I find nothing bad in it.

Jung Hoseok

What's there in North anyway? And I am just worried about you, you've never been out from the manor let alone be the state and continent.

Yes, the young lord was never allowed to set his foot outside the mansion no matter what. He studied there, learned swordsmanship there and never once got the chance to explore his own land like a caged bird. His parents disguised it as his safety. But now he's getting a chance to go out, not to enjoy but to look for the clues behind the mystery. Yes, he's going to the North not because of his fiancé but in search of clues for his expedition.

Kim Taehyung

Everything has a first time, Hyung. Furthermore, I know you're worried about me but let me remind you I am better in battles in comparison to you. I am a kid no more, now this state is under my regime. I hope you're getting what I mean.

Kim Taehyung

Now please, go and order the servants to arrange my clothes. We'll be leaving in the morning.

Jung Hoseok

(Sigh and bows) Yes, your majesty

Hoseok was about to go when-

Wait, how long will the journey take to escort us to the North?

Jung Hoseok

A week or so. (Says without looking back)

Kim Taehyung

Very well, Good night Hyung. This week is going to be hard for us both. You should take a proper rest.

Jung Hoseok

Yes, you as well. (Dashes out)

Getting up from his seat, Taehyung as well goes to his room, grabbing an expensive bottle of Liquor in the process. Setting the Brandy on his coffee table, He takes a seat on his leather couch. Pulling off his formal blazer, he uncuffs his golden cuff links and finally lets out a sigh. This is new for him, the stress he's getting from the state affairs as well as the observations and plans he's making in order to catch the evil, is being harsh upon him. Gulping down the worries in the form of liquor, he shushes himself into deep slumber.
