The elevator doors opened with a soft ding.
Lena stepped out—and everything around her felt too quiet, too polished. Like even the air was expensive.
She clutched the strap of her thrifted bag tighter.
Then she saw him.
Dante.
He was facing the window, back turned, one hand in his pocket like he had all the time in the world. His black shirt fit perfectly. His posture was effortless. Calm.
He didn’t move until she stepped closer.
Then he turned—and her breath caught.
Lena Bishop
He’s so much more real than a photo.
Too real. Too much. And I… have no idea what I’m doin
His eyes met hers. Dark. Focused.
Her heart skipped a beat
Dante Kade(DanteK)
“You showed up.”
Dante Kade(DanteK)
Lena Bishop
“You said to.”
Lena Bishop
She hated how shaky her voice sounded—but he didn’t comment.
He walked toward her slowly. No rush. Every step deliberate.
Dante Kade(DanteK)
“You nervous?”
Lena Bishop
I’ve never... I mean,
I haven’t done this before.”
He tilted his head
Dante Kade(DanteK)
“Done what?”
Lena Bishop
“This. Any of this.
I’ve never gone out with a man. Never been in a place like this. I’m not... experienced
That was the truth.
She’d never even kissed a boy sober.
---
He stopped in front of her, close enough that she could smell his cologne. Warm and clean and expensive.
He looked down at her,not cruelly. Just studying. Like he couldn’t decide what to make of her.
Dante Kade(DanteK)
“You still came.”
She nodded.
Lena Bishop
I don’t know what I’m doing.
But I know I need this.”
---
A long beat of silence.
Her hands shook a little at her sides.
She didn’t know why she did it—maybe nerves, maybe instinct—but she stepped closer, reached up, and kissed him.
Soft. Awkward. Hesitant.
Her lips barely brushed his.
It wasn’t sexy. It wasn’t confident.
But it was real.
She pulled back quickly, heart pounding so loud it hurt.
Lena Bishop
“I just… wanted you to know I’m serious.”
Dante didn’t speak at first. He just stared at her. Then he stepped even closer, lowering his head just slightly and kissing her deep she couldn't march him because it was a first-time
