chap 4

Lin ran is back to his 'home' for some reason the distance between him yiyan keep getting bigger. They rarely talk now.

Lin ran was sitting beside the window on a chair. after today's incident the vivid past that already become dull. Now it become more clear and keep coming into his mind. It was just like yesterday when he lost his mother. Seems like the wound in his hears that heal ages ago start to bleed again.

It's a winter, Christmas and new year just pass away and it was time for linran birthday. Their family were having happy time together. Yunrin urge linzheng to spend some time with their son, as linran is growing distance from his family.

He actually prefer his grandfather and uncle yiyan over then to spend his time even if they are present, Making yunrin uneasy. Its not good for a mother and child to have this much distance. Yunrin was concern about this so she take few week leave with linzheng.

Linzheng was unhappy about it. But still he get to see his family and yunrin more so it was not so bad for him either.

" happy birthday linran !!!!" Linran turn 8 years old. Everyone gather to wish and surprise to linran. Linran was on top of the world when he received this big surprise. It was his first birthday that his whole family is celebrating with him. But who thought it was his last birthday with them....

Yi yan got 1st rank in his university so the family was actually celebrating double happiness.

" baby its snowing today and the roads are getting jamed, i will just make cake myself at home" yunrin thought that after looking at the weather that its really inconvenient to go outside.

"no i want the exact cake that we order no other will work"

sure enough yunrin don't know much about cooking. How can she make a perfect cake for him. Its ok if it's not a perfect birthday cake. But his uncle score highest rank in his his high school. Its something to celebrate nicely. Atleast he don't want anything missing for him on this big day.

linran has already order special theme cake for his uncle with his grandpa it should have been ready by now.

Later on he insist on going with his mother but somehow yunrin manage to go alone with her best friend riana.

After few hours linzheng come back from his work. He look around but yunrin wasn't there. After learning the truth, he scold linran for sending her mother alone in this dangerous snow.

Time pass by and it was already the evening. Everyone was worried why yunrin didn't come back. Linzheng tried to call yunrin several time but no one answer. Linzheng finally went to find yunrin himself. Warning linran if something happens to her mother he will not sit still.

Linran has got so frightened at the moment he didn't dare to cry. He grab the corner of yiyan shirt with worried expression, and teary eyes. yi yan stare at him as looking at a stranger, as yiyan himself was puzzled and scared and don't know how to react after what linran did. Will he be able to forgive linran if something happens to his sister. Of course he will not...

It was already midnight but no news of yunrin. Finally after waiting for few more hours the news has arrive. " yunrin is dead "

This sentence break both yiyan and linran hearts. Yiyan stumble and fell on the ground and linran who was crying for hours stop crying as if what he heard just was just a nightmare, Worst nightmare that he ever had. As soon as linzheng comeback he slap linran with a strong force. Linran fell down directly on the floor.

That slap hit him so painfully thay by now he believe that it not a nightmare. It's all true . .....her mother, she is no more.

" Dad" tear build up in linran eyes

Linmeng hug linran with his arm protecting him

" whah...whah....sob..sob.. ..mom.....hic "

Linran cried out making linzheng more irritated. He again raise his hand to hit him.

"Linzheng are you out of your damn mind why are you hitting him he is your child." Linmeng who was always againt linran. Also stand up for him after seeing linzheng crazy behavior.

" he is not my child it was yunrin who insist on adopting this demon" linzheng yell out with anger.

Hearing this sentence linran small heart broken into pieces " mom...hic..sob...sob"

He lost his mother by his fault and his dad saying he is not his child. What's more heartbreaking than that.

" linzheng don't be so cruel, he is your child we know that how much you love him with all your heart " linmeng felt pretty bad for linran.

.... Linzheng leave the house in frustration and said " it was only because of him that i lost yunrin, i shouldn't have adopt him in the first place. " linzheng eyes where red and teary as if telling he regret his decision. Lin zheng half death appearance was something that linran never forget in his lifetime.

Linran who already stop crying look at linzheng with stunned expression. Yes it was his fault. Linzheng and yunrin gave all their love and care to him but he didn't deserve it.

Yiyan who was still sitting in the corner, was completely shocked for him it was just a moment before when his sister congratulate him. Then how did it turn out like this. It was linran, his silly tantrum cost the life of his sister today.
