He walked closer, eyes locked on mine. He picked up the patient chart beside me.

He smiled again, then glanced at Chase. As he did, i felt his fingers briefly touch my hand— and boom. My heart flipped.

I mumbled, quickly looking away. If i stared any longer, my heart might just explode.
Chase looked at the door, then at me.

What— why is he so kind to Tristan suddenly? He's not like to me earlier...
I hear him murmurs. I raised my one eyebrow.

Hey... what was that between you and Dr. Hudson, huh?!

Aish! You're talking nonsense again. What do you mean, what was that? Idiot.
I rolled my eyes as he frowned and leaned closer

It's the way he looked at you. And the way he spoke... kinda weird, don't you think?
Tsk. This man's brain is so ridiculous sometimes.
And besides— WHAT AM I DOING IN AN HOSPITAL WITH THAT KIND OF DOCTOR!?

I grabbed the newspaper next to me and rolled it.

I immediately smacked him on the head with the newspaper.

He scratched his head and laughed nervously
I hate big and popular hospitals. They often let the media sneak in without artists' consent. And the doctors? Most of them are overly dramatic. Ugh!

I groaned, throwing the blanket over my head.
Chase Alvarez
Tsk, I'm sorry! I was panicking— you looked like you DIED, okay? And this was the nearest hospital!
Tsk, he even defended himself. I removed the blanket and stared at him.

I even covered your face before I called the nurses, okay? No one should know you were admitted... unless you told your aunt?
He laughed. I smacked him again and rolled my eyes. He's so stupid
The doctor didn't say anything about me being allowed to eat, so i just stared longingly at the roasted chicken and soup Chase brought.
It felt like Holy Week wasn't over. The food smelled too good, and I was suffering like i was going through repentance, too (T_T)
Chase stood up after a while and said he'd come back after his meeting. He told me Nana would come later. I nodded
It wasn't him.
It was another doctor.
Where is Dr. Hudson?
... Not that i care! He's obviously working. Aish!

Good afternoon, Mr. Tristan
Doctor
Dr. Hudson is currently attending to a patient. He'll be with you shortly.
The doctor looked older, more strict, and less...charming
Dr. Romero
I'm Dr. Romero. These are the papers you need to sign. Dr. Hudson will take care of the rest later
I nodded as a nurse handed me the forms. I read through them— just standard hospital documents and billing forms.
I signed everything. Dr. Romero and the nurse stood by like statues. Chase didn’t want to leave me alone here, but he had to go.

Uhm... I'll head out then. Take care, Tristan.
I glared at him. Tsk. He really left me here with these strangers!? Aish... Why do they just stare at patients like that? No privacy?
Just as Chase stepped out, the door opened again.
