Last Meeting
A little girl was crying, hiding in her closet. "Where are you, Dvija ?" a boy's voice echoed through the room. Suddenly he heard soft sniffles coming from near the closet. He walked over and gently asked, "Are you in there, Dvija? Please open the door. "She didn't respond. He kept calling out to her, but when she showed no sign of coming out, he felt disappointed. He said,"I am going to America for my higher studies. This is the last time I'll be meeting you. If you don't come out now, we may not be able to see each other again for a long time." He was about to speak again when suddenly a small, frail body hugged him. He hugged her back and asked, "Are you crying because I'm going? Please don't be sad. We will meet again, okay? Till then please study well and take care of yourself. I never thought this will be our last meeting....sigh...
Ch 4.
A day in America
"Young master, your tea...."
Parikshit slowly stirred from his sleep. "Alright," he murmured, rubbing his eyes.
After completing his morning routine, he came downstairs for breakfast.
As he finished his meal, the butler stepped forward and informed him,"Sir your helicopter is ready. We can depart for India whenever you're ready."
Parikshit gave a quiet nod.
Accompanied by his bestfriend, Advay, he made his way to the chopper. As the blades began to spin and the aircraft lifted off, he looked out the window, a soft whisper escaping his lips :
I'm coming, sweetheart."
