Chapter-4
Aiden
Sorry to interrupt you guys, but can I borrow my wife for a moment?
He looked like he could murder one or two, and no one was in the mood to test him.
Alesandra glanced at her friends, silently pleading for backup.
Alesandra shot her a look of pure betrayal, mouthing “traitor” as Aiden took her firmly by the hand and led her toward a quiet corner.
And Clara pulled her focus back to her senior sitting there at the bar
Alesandra
What are you doing here?
Aiden didn’t answer immediately. He just stared at her…eyes sharp, unreadable.
Aiden
What exactly are you doing in a club… on our wedding night?
Alesandra
I… We’re not even having a wedding night.
He clenched his jaw, the muscle in his cheek ticking.
Aiden
We are, according to everyone else.
Aiden
The last thing I need is tomorrow’s headlines saying my wife was dancing with other men… on our wedding night .
Alesandra
I don’t really care about any headlines.
Alesandra
I give zero F to that.
Aiden
You are just too drunk.
Aiden
Are you fine with putting dirt on your father’s name?
Aiden
Remember what we married for?
She couldn’t say a word before thinking about it.
Alesandra
You know what? Dad has screwed me so why shouldn’t I screw him?
His jaw clenched so hard it looked like he was just so close to loose it.
He grabbed her arm and pushed her backwards until her back hit the wall.
Aiden
You know what, Alesandra? I am not a very patient person.
Aiden
So now, if I say we’re going back home… then we’re going back home.
He wasn’t asking. He wasn’t pleading. He was done negotiating.
Alesandra’s eyes narrowed, a flicker of challenge rising in her chest.
Alesandra
You don’t get to order me around just because of a ring.
Aiden
No, I get to do it because I’m the only one still pretending to care how this marriage looks.
Aiden
And trust me , if anything goes wrong because of you or your father…
He paused, letting the weight of his words settle.
Aiden
I won’t just go after him. I’ll tear him down from the ground up …piece by piece.
The threat worked as intended.
And in that moment, Alesandra understood one thing…
Aiden Knight would go to any length to get his way.
He wasn’t a knight in shining armour but a knight with a dark soul.
Author
Do tell me if you like it and if I should continue this.
