Arranged Chapter-2

The car stops in front of the mansion.

Aiden

We’re here.

He steps out. Walks around. Opens her door and doesn’t look at her.

She steps out slowly. The mansion towers above them look grand, cold and quiet.

They walk up the stairs. The doors open.

Butler

Welcome home, Mr. and Mrs. Knight.

Alesandra gives him a smile or at least tries her best to.

Aiden

Your room’s upstairs. First door on the left.

Alesandra

Okay..

Aiden

You’ll have everything you need. If not, tell the housekeeper.

Aiden says while removing his jacket

Aiden

I’m either in my office… or gone.

She nods as she turns to go, but he stops her.

Aiden

And don’t ever go to the west wing.

Alesandra

Why not?

He looks at her coldly, unreadable.

Aiden

Just don’t.

She stares back, then nods.

Alesandra heads up the stairs, slow and silent.

She reaches the room. Opens the door. Shuts it behind her.

Silence.

Her phone buzzes.

Clara

How is it going so far?

Clara Vance - 26 years old. - Alesandra’s lab mate. - Comes from amd upper middle class family.

Clara Vance, her lab mate. She is one of 3 people who knows about the arranged marriage from Alexandra’s side. The other two are Zara and Lia.

Alesandra

How do you expect?

Clara

That bad, huh?

Alesandra

God I want to kill myself.

Clara

Is he being cruel?

Alesandra

No. But that’s the thing. He’s not anything. No warmth. No cruelty. Just… empty.

Clara

That’s cold. Even for a business deal.

Alesandra

It’s only been a day and I already want out.

Clara

We’ll figure out something, okay? You’re not stuck.

Alesandra

I just… I thought I was strong enough for this. But tonight? I’ve never felt more alone.

Clara

I have an idea. You aren’t doing anything tonight so how about clubbing?

Alesandra

Clubbing? Tonight?
