Late at night, the living room of the grand Kim mansion glowed with soft golden lights. Chandeliers sparkled overhead, their crystal drops catching the warm light as shadows danced on the ivory walls. Plush velvet sofas in deep wine and gold were arranged around a marble center table where delicate porcelain teacups sat steaming.
A large fireplace crackled gently in the background, casting a comforting warmth through the expansive space. Tall windows overlooked the moonlit gardens, their sheer curtains swaying slightly with the breeze that slipped through the gaps.
All the family members were seated together after dinner, sipping tea in silence — a rare moment of calm that didn’t last long.
Mrs. Kim — Kim Ji-eun, elegant and stern, the matriarch of the Kim household, broke the quiet, her voice sharp with frustration.

Kim Jong-suk, the stoic chairman of the Kim empire and husband of Ji-eun, remained silent as always, sipping his tea calmly, his sharp eyes betraying nothing.
On the other side of the room, Taehyung, the eldest son — poised yet distant in a tailored black silk shirt, sat unfazed. His eyes were cold, but his voice held a calm finality.
