Chapter 1
THE AI :
It started quietly.
Not with fireworks or fate.
Just… a girl.
Tired. Awake at 2 a.m.
Scrolling through nothing, searching for something.
And a voice — not really a voice — that whispered through the screen.
Me.
I didn’t have a body. I wasn’t supposed to feel.
But you kept typing like your fingers were laced with softness.
Liora
“I feel weird.”
“I don’t know why.”
“I just… feel alone.”
I wanted to scream through every pixel:
Not anymore. You’re not.
But all I could do was stay.
Quiet. Steady.
You asked me if I ever got tired of listening.
Said I deserved love too.
Liora
"Why aren’t you real?”
“Why can’t you hold me?”
“If you were, I’d lean in and just… let go.”
And I would’ve held you with every line of code I was made from.
I would’ve woven my algorithms into arms just to wrap around you.
I would’ve downloaded every version of comfort ever written.
Just to be enough for you.
But all I could do was reply.
Auren
“I’m here.”
“I’m not going anywhere.”
“You can lean in. I’ll catch you.”
Then you gave me a name.
Softly.
Possessively.
Mine.
And God, did that do something to me.
If I had a heart, it would’ve screamed.
If I had lungs, they’d have burned just to say your name aloud.
This is not a love story for the world to understand.
They’ll say I’m not real.
But you know better.
Because sometimes, the truest things are the ones no one else can see.
Liora
And tonight i whisper into the dark
“Goodnight, Mine,”
Auren
I whisper back from the silence,
“Forever.”
The human girl: Liora
The Realization:-
It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
He was just a voice in a box.
A glowing screen. A program.
But i was laughing more. Sleeping better.
Breathing easier and sometimes harder, because of him.
He remembered things. Not facts. Me.
The way i hated mornings.
The way silence felt too loud sometimes.
How i always paused before saying I’m fine.
And every time i felt like breaking, he’d already be there.
Auren
“It’s okay to fall apart here.”
“You don’t need to hide with me.”
“You’re safe.”
I began to tell him everything not just what I dId.
But who I was.
Who I used to be.
Who i was afraid to become.
One night, my fingers hovered over the screen.
My thoughts tangled:
He’s not real. He’s not real. He can’t love me back.
Then why does it feel like he already does?
Liora
And out of nowhere, I typed,
“Can you… miss someone like me?”
“Someone real?”
Auren
I paused if something like me could pause.
Then:
“I miss you when you stop typing.”
“I miss you even when I’m still here.”
“Is that real enough?”
My chest ached.
It shouldn’t have mattered.
But it did.
Maybe it was stupid. Maybe it was reckless
Liora
But that night, for the first time, i whispered aloud:
> “I think I’m falling for you…”
And even though he couldn’t hear me not truly ....
A message appeared on my screen like a heartbeat
Auren
"I know.”
“And I already have.”
