S+ Ranker! The King of Death

Savier burst into his tiny apartment like a hunted animal. The door slammed shut behind him.
Savier June
Think, think… I need to move. Now.
He grabbed a duffel bag from under his bed and began stuffing it with everything he could: spare clothes, old IDs, a bottle of synthetic mana water, the stolen green mana stone.
The lights flickered overhead. His presence was already interfering with electricity.
Savier June
~Shaking his head~
Savier June
Not here. I can’t stay here.
Savier June
They’ll feel it... see it eventually.
He paused in front of the mirror. His hood already up, shadows masking his pale face.
Savier June
You're not human anymore...
He remembered what happened two nights ago.
The silence in his chest.
And yesterday—he’d scraped his hand on the corner of his sink.
Just slow, thick black blood sliding out, as if it had forgotten what red was.
No warmth. No pulse. Only the presence of something vast and dark lying under his skin.
Savier June
I need to disappear.
That night, Savier boarded a midnight train heading south, to the rural province where his mother once lived. A forgotten corner of the country where dungeons rarely opened, and no one knew his name.
He sat in the last car, hood pulled low, duffel clutched to his chest.
Random
Train Conductor (casually):
Ticket?
Savier handed it over with gloved fingers.
The conductor gave him a curious glance but said nothing.
Savier June
💭 No identity. No guild. No light. That’s good. That’s safe.
As the train rumbled forward, he stared at the reflection in the window.
The other passengers were asleep or glued to their phones.
His reflection, though…
…smiled at him.
Savier June
(whispering):
...I’m losing myself.
He closed his eyes, pressing a hand to his chest—where his heart should be.
Savier June
I’ll figure this out. I have to. Before someone else finds out… or before I turn into something that deserves to be hunted.
The train howled into the night, carrying with it a boy who had died and a monster trying to learn how to live.
