After my brother left, I slowly drifted off to sleep. But something felt off. Like someone was watching me.
I opened my eyes—and my heart nearly jumped.
God was standing there, staring down at me with an amused expression.
But I wasn’t in my room anymore. The crib, the toys, everything was gone.
I looked around. We were in a vast, glowing hall. It was quiet, empty, unreal. A place pulled straight out of a dream.
“Where…?”
He smiled. “Don’t worry. I created this space so no one can see us. Just a little private chat.”
I narrowed my eyes.
“So,” he said, walking slowly toward me, “how’s your new life going?”
I crossed my arms—or, well, I tried. Hard to do when your arms are the size of a baby’s.
I just glared.
He chuckled nervously. “Still as cold as ever, huh?”
Then he cleared his throat and stood tall.
“Alright, listen carefully. You’ve been reborn 200 years in the past from your original world. Your name is 'Loria Virelle ' This is the Eldoria Empire. You’re now the youngest princess of the royal family. You have two older brothers, a mother, and a father.”
He raised a finger.
“Your mission is to protect them… and to save this empire.”
I blinked, confused. “Save… an entire empire?”
He nodded. “Eldoria was destroyed when the princess—you—turned 15. But now, you have the chance to change that fate.”
I rolled my eyes. “Why should I care about this kingdom? I didn’t ask for this.”
“Come on!” he whined. “You can’t just bail on this. You have to do it!”
I stared at him. “Are you seriously the same god who was judging me before? What happened to all that mighty and serious attitude?”
He pouted. “W-Well, I was trying to be cool. But I’m still the almighty, okay? So, atleast show some respect.”
I turned away, pretending I didn’t hear him.
He groaned. “Anyway—listen up. You cannot tell anyone about your mission or the world you came from. If you do… well, let’s just say the punishment will be something you really don’t want.”
I scoffed. “Sounds like a scam.”
His smile faded a little. “Saline… I’m serious. Act according to your age. You’re a baby now. Don’t slip up.”
And with that, he vanished.
I opened my eyes again and was back in my room. Everything looked normal… at first.
But then I felt something.
My instincts screamed danger.
I turned my head—and froze.
A hooded figure stood beside my crib, holding a knife.
An assassin.
In the palace.
He moved toward me—but I didn’t panic.
I rolled out of the crib and hit the ground running. My body was small, but fast. The god’s power gave me full control.
The assassin wasn’t expecting a baby to move like this.
Rookie mistake.
I spotted a small ceremonial dagger left on a nearby table.
I grabbed it. My grip was solid. I twisted and threw it with precision honed from years of deadly training.
The blade hit the assassin’s neck.
He dropped, dead.
I climbed onto the body, breathing slowly, heart steady.
“Too easy.”
But just then, the door creaked open.
I looked up.
Mother stood there. Holding a bottle of milk.
She stared.
At me.
At the knife.
At the dead man.
“Uh-oh…” I thought.
“…She saw me. Now what?
